Amazing location and facilities. Staff are amazingly pleasant, polite and extremely helpful. Some refreshment of paint and decoration would be an advantage but great place to stay.

Well positioned from the Subway for to/from JFK and rest of Manhattan. Helpful, friendly staff who make you feel both welcome and a bit special.

.

Stones throw from Times Sq so perfect for a four day theatre visit. Had a 44th floor Deluxe King room, facing south, with a partial view of Times Sq. Huge windows made it bright all day, but there are effective blackout blinds at night and there’s virtually no noise. Pretty spacious for one, spotlessly clean, and the fridge for supplies rather than annoying mini bar gets a thumbs up from me. Nice big bathroom with good strong shower pressure, and - miracle of miracles - the aircon is simple to...

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. A special mention goes to James, the manager, who was incredibly helpful, thoughtful, and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The hotel is also in a great location for Times Square, making it easy to explore the city and all the main attractions. It was also great to be able to help ourselves to coffee and snacks throughout the day, which was a lovely touch and much appreciated. Breakfast did get quite busy around 9:00 am, and the food options...

Good location

Such a great stay here. Right in midtown Manhattan in the heart of the action but at a really reasonable price. The room was small but immaculate. I requested a higher room with a view and the hotel did exactly that for us - the 21st floor with a beautiful view to wake up to. I would definitely recommend staying at CIVILIAN and I would definitely stay here again.

Cozy hotel, nice styling, great rooftop bar, comfy big bed. Amazing location. Would stay again. Very small rooms, so not for all people. Rooftop bar had different (less) opening hours than advertised.

If I wrote about just how good this hotel is I'd need a lot more characters and you'd think they were paying me. I've stayed in many hotels, a considerable number having more stars than the Luma, but never have I experienced somewhere I cannot fault in any respect. The room was equipped with absolutely everything you could need (8 power sockets and 16 usb ports, 4 of each on both sides of the bed?!) it was quiet, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom spotless and there was a turndown service...

My daughter and I had a trip to New York for our big birthdays, hotel was very central close to port authority, walking distance to time square and many other areas. Hotel staff made our visit special for us and are very helpful , friendly , professional and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. I would avoid 9th Avenue at night time as it didn’t feel very safe .

Really nice hotel with a pleasant roof terrace and great staff; the free coffee all day was a nice touch as were the free croissants first thing. Lots of interesting food options nearby - iconic dining at: The Roxy; Bubby’s and Katz Diner were all only a short walk away. There are good transport connections via the nearby subway station and it sits in a very friendly and safe neighbourhood on the border between Chinatown and Little Italy.

The Merrion Row is home away from home. Upon our arrival and throughout our stay we had an outstanding experience. The staff are friendly and go above and beyond to help. The accommodation is clean tidy and smells incredible (you’ll see what I mean when you stay). And the food is amazing! If you want some peace and tranquility after long days of exploring NYC not to mention a fantastic location, we would highly recommend the Merrion Row Hotel.

There is absolutely nothing bad to say about Kixby. The location is as safe as it gets, easy walking distance from Penn Station if you come in by LIRR/Airtrain from JFK(30 mins hassle free way to get into Manhattan) and the subway is 50 yards from the front door. There are the best selection of bars, restaurants and eateries within minutes of the hotel as well as Maddison Square Garden and the Empire State Building. All of the staff were friendly, helpful and informative, you get a free water...

We arrived a little after 3pm, and had a lovely greeting from staff, but our room wasn’t ready so we had to wait. We booked and paid through Expedia… an Empire via room with living space. Please note that the hotel does not offer this type of room. None of their Empire View rooms have the separate living room area. The Empire view rooms do give a great view of the Empire State Building but their ‘living room’ is a tiny space with a chaise and a TV. Management were excellent with us and moved us...

Fantastic hotel and location. Rooms very quiet. Superbly clean. Excellent breakfast. Brilliant to be able to leave suitcases all day and get a shower in the complementary shower rooms after check out. Only slight negative is it took a while to navigate the lifts in a morning with people going to breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel itself is clean and centrally located for NYC tourism in Times Sq. the staff are great, breakfast included was a good start to each day and the price we got through Expedia was a bargain. Be warned that there is a migrant shelter directly opposite the hotel which can be intimidating as large groups hang around outside - the hotel have a regular security guard and the NYPD are outside the shelter all the time.

Can't fault the hotel, room was lovely! Breakfast was great too. I didn't realise it was in the middle of Time Square! oops! Quite busy outside... Happily stay again, I was over for a work trip.

Stayed in the king room with Times Square view, it was perfect. Huge comfortable bed, very clean and spacious. As two women it felt very secure and safe, with staff at all entrances and key card needed to access lift and extra lock on the bedroom door, which was something I was looking for.

Great stay, would stay book again
