Indian Wells Resort Hotel

"The lobby and pool area were nice, but the hallway and room need an update. The walls have a lot of paint defects and the flooring down the hall is laminate which made it loud when people walked down the hall. The door to the back parking lot was unlocked at all times and anyone could just walk in without a keycard needed. That seems unsafe to me. My room smelled like moth balls when I walked in and there was a used facial makeup pad on the floor in the corner. There was a hairball in the shower and the sheets on one of the beds were wrinkled and looked like someone had slept in them and it didn’t get changed. The other bed in the room looked like it had clean sheets on it so I slept in that one. The furniture in the room is pretty old and the chair cushions were dingy looking. I checked in kind of late at night and when I went to take a shower, there were no bath towels in the bathroom only hand towels. I had to go get them from the front desk. There are also no towels in the pool area, and you have to get them and return them at the front desk as well. I was in town for a conference and really just needed a place to sleep at night. I only went to the pool for a short time 1 day but enjoyed the pool area. The smell in my room was the biggest downside for me. The front desk staff were nice though. As long as the other rooms don’t smell like the one I had, I guess I would stay here again for the price."

"This place had many qualities that I really appreciated the friendliness of the staff, you feel so welcomed when check in, customer service is amazing. The cleanliness of this place is impeccable The pools are amazing and that mountain view takes your breath away. This resort has the tranquility I always wanted so much to do and explore. This resort is beautiful. Had such a good time with my family. Will definitely be returning..."

"Overall, we were happy with the Apple Tree Inn. The suite that we stayed in was perfect for us for 2 nights weekend getaway. The location was perfect, across the farm and good bakery, plus some restaurants. MJ was communicative and made the check in easy. The bed is comfortable; the little kitchen is equipped with what we needed plus Keurig coffee maker and k-cups. Bathroom was also clean and had enough towels, etc. We had a great experience staying at the Apple Tree Inn - Julian."

"This lodge is in a beautiful location with expansive views of the mountains around Julian, CA. The room was large with a pleasant bathroom with skylight. There is air conditioning in every guest room. The large living room has a TV (so do the rooms) as well as a billiard table. The kitchen was spacious and the hosts provided eggs, bread, milk, bananas, and ramen soup bowls for the guests. The lodge is small with only a few rooms so it is quiet and allows each guest to interact with the others as they wish. I would definitely stay here again."
