"There for an Iowa Hawkeye football game, so weekend rate was inflated, but a good location close to the airport, 15 minutes from downtown Cedar Rapids with good restaurants and 20-25 minutes from downtown Iowa City and football stadium parking. So far, the AmericInn properties have been a consistent experience for the rooms and amenities, so no negative surprises."

"This is very usefully located as an airport hotel, but it's not cheap for what it is. And I was absolutely shocked at the horrific filth of every section of hallway carpet. My room was not visibly dirty but I was so grossed out from the holes that I was afraid to touch anything. In the first room they gave me the deadbolt didn't latch, and in the second room to replace it the main overhead light was out and the sink stopper didn't work so you had to reach in with your fingers and pull it out."

"I am SO TIRED of hoteliers who spend money on updating rooms and then buy cheap BRICK HARD mattresses. How difficult is it to comprehend that people NEED A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP? No one wants to sleep on a brick at the Taj Mahal. Sleep Inn built a name on good beds. I used to select them specifically for their beds. I have not been in a comfortable bed in ANY SLEEP INN in years. Put the money into an orthopedically sound bed (and NOT memory foam - it's terrible for the spine, too)."

"Considering the inflated cost of your hotel rooms, you really need to invest in new beds and pillows. Probably the worst I've ever slept on. Don't even get me started on the breakfast. How can anyone mess up breakfast? I ordered the pancakes and had to send them back because they were essentially raw in the middle. The new pancakes weren't done either. I told our waitress that I couldn't eat them. She said she would take them off our bill and that I could help myself at the buffet, no charge....

"The beds had clean sheets, but mattress was old and very uncomfortable. Room was not updated and not worth the $$."

"1) The microwave in our room was broken 2) Hotel flooded 3) Breakfast runs too early 4) PARKING was AWFUL and handicap parking was taken everytime!! And a construction worker took parking once."

"Weird smell"

"Great place!!"

"Best breakfast I’ve had at a hotel"

"Hotel was nice and was quiet when we stayed. The room heater/AC was really loud though. Kept me up most of the night. Breakfast was okay, but seemed a little lacking considering the price of the room. No muffins or bagels, and the milk was just a gallon you had to use for your cereal which seems kinda odd."

"Great rooms, staff."

"Very friendly. Large clean room. Very satisfied."
