I get that hotels can do this but the biggest problem I had is I was standing in front of them on a Friday night at almost 10pm before I realized I booked the wrong date. I was more than willing to pay the $120 difference and they had a room available, but said I would have to pay the full $175 for the room that night which was available and would still lose the full amount on the next weekend.why not just let me move my reservation which is still a week out, I would pay the difference."
