"Lovely hotel in the heart of Khao Lak centre. Very convenient for exploring outside the hotel, with town on your doorstep. Staff very friendly, nothing too much trouble. We stayed in a sea view suite which was clean and had plenty of space. Also managed early check in which was appreciated after travelling for 24hrs. Would stay again. "The slate is one of the best resorts in all of Phuket. We have been to many different places here and the Slate has it all. From Black Ginger to the cooking classes this place is absolutely wonderful. Beautiful resort with every amenity you could ask for! With this beauty and service comes a price tag that is expensive for Thailand standards but still somewhat affordable. The breakfast is a delight and the service is perfect from check in to servers and working staff everyone is top notch. Great place for families and couples alike."

Celebrating our anniversary, we were welcomed with a delightful surprise: a beautifully arranged bouquet and a decadent cake waiting in our room—an incredibly thoughtful gesture that set the tone for our stay. The staff throughout the resort were truly exceptional. They consistently went out of their way to accommodate us, always anticipating our needs with grace and warmth. The children’s staff made our son feel instantly at home, creating a magical and safe environment in the play area that he looked forward to each day. Each morning at breakfast, the staff recognized us immediately and brought over our usual drinks before we even asked. The attention to detail was remarkable. On several occasions, both the manager and the chef personally greeted us, checking in and offering well wishes—especially touching on our final day."
