Potentially a great place but disappointed we were
We arrived in the early evening and as we made the booking online there was no need to complete the normal registration process. The first impressions of the facility was welcoming and the resort appeared to be comfortable and very relaxing. The staff was very welcoming. We were showed to our room which was located near the reception area. Upon reaching the room we first noticed a musky odor coming from the room, the smell of a room that has been very damp but not allowed to air out and dry properly. The resort is a tropical setting and one expects moist air. Not a pleasant smell in the room, it took almost 3 hours for the smell to subside after the aircon was running.
The bathroom was very very large and almost as large as the room itself. The room was clean but the most disappointing part of the room is the rock hard, lumpy mattress. Both of us woke up the next morning with back aches from what sleep we did get. It was difficult if not impossible to get comfortable in that bed. The next morning we checked out at 7 am as we had a long drive ahead of us but we could not eat breakfast because they do not start serving until 8 am or so, it took us almost 3 minutes to find someone to handover the room key to as the reception staff was no where to be found.
I don’t think we will be a repeat customer here, the resort is in need of some major care and repairs as well as upgrades. It has high potential to be a very nice and cozy place to lay your head.
