Studio Z, an Ascend Collection Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"From the moment we arrived at Studio Z Hotel in St. Robert, Missouri, the customer service was outstanding. The evening front desk representative checked us in quickly with a warm smile and took the time to explain hotel amenities, breakfast hours, and directions to the nearby military base. She even thoughtfully warned us that it’s a small town and many restaurants close early, which helped us grab dinner in time after a long day of travel.
Breakfast each morning was fresh, well stocked, and offered a great variety. The gentleman preparing breakfast was friendly and welcoming, and the manager ensured everything stayed replenished so nothing ran out.
I especially appreciated the kindness and patience of the manager when my key card kept deactivating after being placed next to my phone. Despite having to help me multiple times, she never showed frustration and was genuinely sweet and reassuring each time.
As bad weather approached, we needed to check out early to safely return to Texas. My son, who is active-duty military, stayed behind to spend more time with his wife and changed his flight to depart from St. Louis. The manager was incredibly helpful, walked us through our options, and showed such compassion when she realized how worried I was about leaving him during an incoming storm. Her reassurance gave this mom real peace of mind.
While my son stayed, he shared that she personally made sure he had breakfast and told him to come directly to her if he needed anything s"
"Staff were nice. Very helpful in that they put us in another room the second night we were there due to my elderly Mom having difficulty walking up the stairs.
Rooms were clean. Bed was very comfortable.
No breakfast, no fluff…but we knew that when booking the room. We just needed a place to sleep while picking our son up from boot camp.

"Great room. Wonderful staff. Very, very comfortable bed, including the warm comforter. Good breakfast with yogurt machine and lots of added toppings. Will be staying again. "
