Beware of the nearby railways

We picked this hotel based on the excellent past reviews. Unfortunately we got the last room which was small and a few meters from the railway. Every time the train goes by (starting very early in the morning) the room shakes as if an earthquake is coming. Add the noise from the train and the nearby church bells going off until late at night and you will get the perfect sleepless night. The photo shows rooms that face away from the railway and I have to assume most rooms are like that, but I cannot comment on those rooms. My suggestion to the owners is to cancel any room facing the railways or warn the visitors beforehand (namely at the time of making the reservation). The breakfast area was very nice and the area beautiful although relatively hard to reach from Locarno without a car.

Jederzeit wieder

Herzlicher und aufmerksamer Empfang, wir fühlten uns auf Anhieb wohl. Das Zimmer mit Balkon und die übrigen Räumlichkeiten waren sehr geschmackvoll und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Das Frühstück konnten wir im Garten einnehmen, es war sehr Reichhaltig. Wir waren zum ersten mall hier und unsere Erwartungen wurden mehr alls erfüllt.

Herzlichkeit ist nicht zu übertreffen!

Ein tolles, familiengeführtes Hotel mit einem sehr herzlichen Empfang und tollem Service. :-) Alles sehr gepflegt und sauber. Direkt in der Nähe befindet sich ein schöner Natur-Strand zum abkühlen.

O hotel é encantador! Os donos do estabelecimento, Paolo e Alexandra foram super atenciosos e prestativos. A decoração do ambiente é super delicada e de bom gosto... Café da manhã de qualidade e espaço muito organizado! Hotel higiênico e com uma limpeza super rápida! Lugar aconchegante e que nos faz sentir “em casa”. Retornaremos em nova oportunidade, com certeza! Locarno é uma cidade inspiradora e o Hotel Charme Babatè também!

Wir gehen wieder, aber nur mit Talsicht!

Das Hotel ist insgesamt wunderbar, man darf einfach nicht ein Premium Doppelzimmer mit Bergsicht buchen, sondern nur eines auf die Südseite. Wir hatten das 'Glück', das wir im Erdgeschoss einquartiert wurden, eine 2m hohe Hecke direkt vor dem Fenster (Berge kaum sichtbar) und dahinter fährt der Zug vorbei, zwar nur alle 20 und 30 Minuten (von morgens früh bis abends spät, aber man hört ihn auch bei geschlossenem Fenster! Nach zwei Tagen konnten wir auf die andere Seite des Hotels wechseln, wo es sehr ruhig ist, angenehme schöne Aussicht hat und die Zimmer viel neuer, moderner ausstaffiert sind. Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet und der Service ist sehr aufmerksam. Da nahe am Bahnhof Tegna ist es ideal um nach Locarno zu gehen.

Wonderful hotel

Wonderful hotel in beautiful village. The location of the hotel was excellent. Owner couple was very friendly and helpful. Definitely the most pleasant and delicated staff ever. Within walking distance of the area there were excellent restaurants. We will definitely stay overnight at the same hotel if we come to Ticino again. I warmly recommed this hotel.

einfach suuuuper

Sehr freundliche und zuvokommrnde Gastgeber. Das schöne und ruhige Zimmer in der oberen Etage und das feine und vielfältige Frühstück, welches wir auf der schmucken Terrasse geniessen durften, haben uns bestätigt, dass wir gerne wieder kommen! Da ist noch was: der Zug hält unmittelbar beim Hotel! Also gut mit öV zu erreichen. Schöne und unvergessliche Tage in einem kleinen Hotel: einfach zum Verlieben!
