The property is in a beautiful country setting, very quiet and private. The hosts, Klaus and Simone, are extremely accommodating and helpful. The breakfasts were amazing and plentiful. The best stay we"ve ever had. Highly recommend this property.

Best place to stay close to Shames Mountain

We really had a great time staying in Shames Country Lodge. We were well taken care of by Klaus, the owner of this place. He's very attentive to his guests and their needs. The lodge is in a nice setting between the river and the mountain. It has well equipped kitchen, cozy living room and patio with grill, which is very convenient to have.
