It's a very nice homestay in the middle of rice fields, if your looking for relax place and nice people this is it, been there 3 times and will be back again Yoga, Amy and all the staff are so nice, love this place thai restaurant on place, a walk away from another warung and restaurant and also nice massage salon

This is such a hidden gem. Amy and Yoga make you feel. like family. The bungalow, rice fields, and pool are a DREAM. The outdoor bathroom the epitome of Bali. The closeness of many attractions and nature = perfect. Their care and hospitality and attention is amazing. Coming back again next week.

My stay was beyond amazing. Very memorably unique experience. Beyond my expectations. It was really calm, relaxing, quiet, tranquil, and beautiful. The honeymoon suite was rustic, breathtaking, and amazing. The villa for my family was breathtaking and gorgeous rice field view with a super cute pool. The rooms were fresh and clean every day. The staff and management were super kind, nice, honest, helpful, hospitable, and down to earth. They were always there for your needs. The restaurant offered delicious local cuisine. Thank you for an amazing stay and a unique experience. Definitely will be back.

It was the heartbeat of our entire trip!

We can’t say enough good things about our time here at Ubud Sawah Villa and Homestay. We originally booked just a few days, and ended up extending our stay for over a month! The staff is incredible, and hosts/owners have now become family of ours. The stay is comfortable, clean, beautiful, not to mention inexpensive. Spacious rooms, includes breakfast/water, daily cleaning, a beautiful pool overlooking the rice fields, AND their restaurant on site is absolutely delicious, authentic and inexpensive. We ate here almost every day, got to know their entire family who hangs out and helps at the Homestay, and they were constantly going out of their way to get us off menu items at the market that we were interested in. Our laundry always came back smelling great, folded nicely. We were so sad to leave when our time was up that we took pictures and wrote a heartfelt letter with a gift. They go out of their way to make sure their guests are safe and happy, and provide guidance and opportunities for activities and cultural exploration/understanding of Bali. You can easily rent a scooter here to explore the area. Is this a 5 star resort? No, and it does not advertise as one. Just as anything, some things are not perfect. But the magic is real here! Anyone who has left a bad review has unrealistic expectations or does not understand the true spirit and nature of this island, its accommodations and people. This is a real, unpaid review.

I absolutely loved the ubud sawah homestay. This beautiful place has so much to offer and made my trip to Bali so special. The owners are so sweet and so attentive towards all the people who stay here. I arrived to the hotel at 3 am which made me nervous given that I didn’t know what to expect and I have never been to Bali before (also by myself as a female). The people here were more than happy to check me in. Anything I needed I was able to message them and they responded very quickly. The restaurant was one of my favorite parts of my stay, both the breakfasts and dinners were delicious. This place was exactly what I was looking for: a beautiful tucked away place that’s a little secluded but also near everything as well. I was not looking for a resort, I just wanted a small family run place where I could stay and not feel like a tourist. One thing I would mention is that if you are in a wheelchair or have difficulties walking, moving around the property or your villa might be difficult. I myself am not affected by this but wanted to mention it in case anyone suffers from this. They may have accommodations for this that i’m not aware of as well. Another thing I would like to mention based on some of the reviews regarding bugs… This is an island. If you’ve ever lived on an island, you’re aware of this. I was surprised there weren’t more bugs (mostly saw some ants) considering that you’re in the middle of rice fields. Thank you Yoga and Amy!

Looks good in pics, but dirty

They have a really nice location and their Villas could be very nice. But everything is very dirty, they do not clean the pool, they do not clean the bathroom as it had mold all over the floor. The lounger couldn't be used because it was too dirty to sit on, I found a very large dead bug among many smaller ones in the kitchen area. The people were nice and welcoming but we ended up leaving two days early because the place was just too dirty and we were uncomfortable. We also asked them to clean some things and they said they would, but they did not. We also didn't get the villa we booked, they just put you in whatever they have available at that time. They gave us two small bath towels and that was it. As they say, you get what you pay for.

Der Inhaber Yoga mit seiner Frau Amy und 2 Kindern sind liebevolle, ehrliche Menschen die sich hier mit viel Fleiss ihren eigenen Traum eines Auskommen realisiert haben. Wir waren 6 Tage in der Private Villa mit Pool, waren täglich mit Yoga auf Tour... eine besseren und preisgünstigeren Reisebegleiter bzw privaten Chauffeur mit seinem Auto hätten wir vermutlich nirgends besser erhalten. Sogar Fahrten zu Restaurants etc egal zu welcher Zeit war kein Thema. Wir haben uns sehr wohl und sicher gefühlt und können nur eine Top-Empfehlung aussprechen. Preise übrigens äusserst fair und dem ländlichen Umfeld angemessen. - 22.-28.11.2024 Heinrich & Norina :-)

Es wirkt unscheinbar, aber es war ein absolut genialer Aufenthalt! Amy, Ihr Mann und das Personal ist wundervoll. Sie kümmern sich um alles und sind super offen und hilfsbereit. Fint nok sted, der er rigtig mange dyr hvilket vi også var forberedt på siden det ligger i en rismark. Der er et myggenet men det er alt for lille og dækker kun halvdelen af sengen så det gør ikke den store forskel. Det ville have været rigtig rart da mange dyr kan komme ind. Sidste dag da vi skulle afsted virkede vandet ikke. Vi gik efter billige steder da vi kun skulle sove der, men det her blev dog lige billigt nok. Morgenmaden var dog helt fin og personalet var søde. Vi havde regnet med at det var et stille område men der var ret meget larm, specielt fra dyr selvfølgelig men også høj musik i nærheden hver aften.

Amazing hospitality

I only stayed here for 1 night but was blown away by the amazing people who run the place! Stayed at one of the villas which was brand new and really comfy. The place is something special too, beautiful view of the rice terraces.

Homestay near Tegallalang

We arrived at the homestay and were welcomed by the lovely hosts Amy and Yoga. The room was comfortable though the bathroom was cramped and had a bad smell which disturbed us during our stay as the smell came into our room. The area around the homestay was really wonderful but you need your own transport as Grab cars are difficult to get in this remote area.

My new home away from home in Bali

This is my new home away from home while doing business in Bali! I can't say enough of how much I enjoyed my stay. Amy and Yoga are two of the kindest people that I have ever met, and will bend over backwards to insure that you are taken care of in every way. The rooms and gardens are beautiful and surrounded by lush rice paddies. Total peace and tranquility..and just s short 5 min.ride to Tagalallang. I will be back!

great homestay in Ubud with very courteous hosts

The Ubud Sawah homestay was our second accomodation on our Bali trip after Seminyak. It was great to get out of the busy city to enjoy this awesome and quite place. The location is stunning, especially the green rice fileds are very beautiful. Furthermore, the hosts Amy and Yoga are very polite, helpful and courteous. They offer loads of services like laundery, rent bike/motercycle and shuttle to city center or whereever you want to go, e.g. to an infinity pool nearby. Besides that the breakfast is delicious and the possibility is givin to have lunch and/or dinner. Everything was flawless clean and the room has been cleaned on daily bases. We really enjoyed our stay in Ubud Sawah homestay with no doubts.

Idyllisch gelegner Homestay in den Reisfeldern

Sehr schönes Homestay mit gutem Frühstück. Ist umgeben von Reisfeldern und sehr ruhig gelegen. Zu den Tegellalang Reisfeldern geht man ca 50 Minuten zu Fuss - meist an einer Hauptstraße mit Geschäften was mich aber nicht störte. Man kann sich auch Fahrräder oder Motorroller mieten.
