Nina and Peter's little Chalet was delightful. Bella and Rufus were the perfect cuddle buddies in the morning while Nina prepared breakfast. Would highly recommend a stay here. Easy access to Taupo area but out of the way and quiet!

Had a very enjoyable night at Chalet Eiger and Nina was a wonderful hostess. The evening meal and breakfast along with the glasses of wine were delicious and it was nice to share some stories with her. A very accommodating hostess.

We wish to thank Peter and Nina for having provided us with a very hospitable stay at Chalet Eiger Lodge! The property is well managed and meticulously decorated for Christmas. The view of the garden and part of Lake Taupo from the sitting room and our room is stunning. The breakfast prepared by Nina was sumptuous and delicious! We had a great time staying there!

A hidden gem!

This was such a beautiful place to stay, Peter and Nina were beyond amazing hosts to all of us that stayed there. We also loved our room so too. We'll definitely coming back here next time we're in Taupo.

Wow - this place was a great find! The location was quiet and secluded. The room was well furnished (seemed like it had recently been renovated with good finishes and care). The fridge was stocked with complimentary food and wine. The hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly - you feel as if you are visiting family. A really lovely place to stay!

This is a very upscale B&B. Our guest and private bathrooms were large and beautifully appointed. The view from the balcony was great. The chalet was a peaceful haven from all the activities going on in Taupo the weekend we were there. The hosts were very gracious and breakfast was superb. The only downside was the distance from the nearest restaurant.

The property is in a beautiful location overlooking the lake and distant mountains. The accommodation was of the highest quality with a relaxing and spacious upstairs lounge with spectacular views. The owners were very welcoming and very helpful in advising choices of activities in the area. We dined in one evening and we were presented with a fine 3 course meal with wine. We would recommend that option. Breakfasts were exceptional too. An exceptional place to stay at Lake Taupo.

Nina and Peter provided a memorable experience for us during the Christmas holiday. Nina’s breakfasts were amazing with plentiful options! They really made us feel at home and tried to attend to anything we could possibly desire. The location near the center of Taupo is perfect with a beautiful view of the mountains.

Wonderful B&B

Nothing but good things to say about this B&B. Room was very nice and comfortable. Also a gorgeous living room where you could sit and relax. We had a wonderful breakfast before we left. Hosts were very helpful and gave us good recommendations what to see from there. We really felt welcome and this is absolutely the place to stay.

Indulgent and relaxing night away

It was a pleasure to stay at this accommodation. It's private and intimate, with the hosts being attentive while also ensuring your space. Very friendly environment and lovely to be able to interact with the dogs on site (hosts don't assume and are mindful of this upfront). The breakfast was lovely and we enjoying chatting to the hosts at this time. It was a very relaxing stay and we'd definitely love to return to stay again.

Best place we stayed during our honeymoon.

Hosts were awesome. My wife and I were on our honeymoon and spent three weeks in New Zealand, traveling from the North island to the South Island. Out of all our places, this was our favorite stay. Wish we could have stayed longer and will like to stay again. It was a huge space and they cooked us a tremendous breakfast and gave us great ideas on where to go hiking.

I travel a lot! And the return for what you are paying is amazing! Peter and Nina do an amazing Job. From the beginning they made me feel home and regret, that we only stayed for one night! It was by the way the best Hotel on out vacation while in Australia and NZ! And i stayed at Sofitel usually

Perfect weekend.

Very accommodating couple, welcoming and very good cooks. The lodge is of very high spec and perfectly set up for relaxing accommodation. Our hosts were amazing and we were even lucky enough to have a delicious dessert waiting for us when we got home from the rugby. Beautiful plater in our room on arrival. Would stay again in a heart beat.
