Lovely view of the volcano from the bed, watching the plume puffs during the day and the glow at night, as well as hearing the rumbling.
Quite isolated, but the hosts provide all the transport you need, for a fee, which ended up being about twice the cost of the accommodation booked online, including to and from the airport. Totally reasonable all told, but good to know ahead of time.

Nobody came to pick me at the airport as it should be. Took a taxi to reach the place. The place is deep in the forest, when i arrived there no car was here to provide me transport to reach the volcano or other activity. I mooved. Don't go there.
Don't book! This is a scam. We arrived to the island to learn the owner, Richard, does not even live on Tanna but on Malacula. There was no one there to help us, no one at the hotel, no one around! Expedia still makes you pay for it because once the day of your booking begins and you haven't canceled you're billed. You won't know its a scam until it's too late to get your money back. Beware!

Petite terrasse devant
The property has an amazing view of the volcano. The staff are friendly and helpful. The garden is pretty with lots of nice trees and flowers to look at.
There is a price list at the property for the activities which means you know what you will get but transport cost adds up as fuel isn't easily accessible so take extra cash for transport and activities.
There is a friendly community in the village surrounding the property and people are happy to talk to you and help you.
However you need to be aware that the property is very basic and doesn't offer western comforts such as warm showers but that's ok because we were aware of that when we booked.
When taking food, make sure you put them in tins or strong plastic containers as rats can get into the room and help themselves to your snacks. It's important to have plenty of aerogaurd on hand as you are in the bush.
Meals are provided at a cost using local law ingredients but the guest does not get a say about what is served. The staff decide on the times the meals are served.
It is important to be aware that staff may request that you leave your room early (7am) if there are other guests coming and will provide assistance with going to the airport or hanging out at a suitable location until it is time to go to the airport.
Beautiful place, nice people and lovely food. Would definitely recommend it!
It's a little expensive to get around because you need to hire a car and driver, but that is just how it is when you live in a jungle.
