Villa Tangalle Lagoon: lämnar en del att önska...

Då vi kom till hotellet fick vi välja mellan 3 olika rum; villa vid havet hela vistelsen, familjerum i 3 nätter sedan byta eller rum med liten pool utanför rummet (som delas med andra familjer). Vi valde rummet med liten pool utanför dörren. Tyvärr var rummet ostädat med smutsigt golv, blinkande glödlampor och läckande VVS-rör i duschen (saknades varmvatten) samt smutsiga sängkläder som vi fick säga till personalen att byta dock blev dubbelsängens sängkläder endast bytt och inte gästsängen, som för övrigt saknade myggnät. Observera lyhördheten mellan rummen och de olika faciliteterna, det är tätt mellan husen. Frukosten var simpel i SeaFood-restaurangen med en del att önska medan hotellpersonalens service var okey - man får det man betalar för. Boendet passar bäst för en kort vistelse för en icke-krävande familj eller ett par och det bästa med hotellet är läget eftersom det är nära till centrum och ett antal goda restauranger och stranden intill hotellet. Tangalle är en liten stad med litet centrum, gästvänligheten är dock stor.

The villa was amazing excellent service, and in immaculate condition. The breakfast was one of the best we had in Sri Lanka. Overall was one of the nicest places, and close to the beach.

Eigentlich gut, aber leider vernachlässigt

Eigentlich schöne Strandbungalows, aber gesamte Anlage ist vernachlässigt. Etwas investieren und renovieren dann wäre es gut. Personal sehr freundlich, Fruehstueck gut. Lage am Strand und mit Stadtbaehe gut. Zu teuer fuer das Gebotene.

Clean and comfortable near great beach

We got upgraded to a really nice roof top room with own pool, and it was amazing. The room and bathrom was beautiful, clean and in good condition, and the pool was clean and very nice. We enjoyed our stay a lot! The hotel is based at the end of the line of accomodation, but it also means that it's closer to the city center. Be aware that the bungalows are right by the beach, while the rest of the rooms are 200-300 meters from the beach. The beach by the hotel is very nice, not crowded at all and with comfortable sun beds. The breakfast buffet is good with a lot of different foods. There isn't much atmosphere at the hotel, but on the other hand you get privacy and quietness.

Overpriced

With us being on honeymoon, we chose the 'romantic' villa option with pool. If you're considering booking this option, don't bother. The room was extremely basic...probably the worst we stayed in all honeymoon. The pool was also dirty, not inviting at all. On the plus side, it's located right next to the beach and the beachside cafe provided us with a great breakfast. However, overall it was well overpriced for the facilities on offer and there would probably be better alternatives in Tangalle

Hôtel décevant en rapport qualité-prix. Mise à part la piscine : passez votre chemin. Les bungalows sont grands et confortables avec vue sur la mer mais ne répondent pas au niveau de prestation attendu pour le prix : salle de bain basique avec douche sans bac et collée aux toilettes. pas de wifi accessible mise à part les parties communes de l'hôtel. Petit déjeuner complet mais qui ne comble pas la différence de prix + restaurant du soir à éviter d'urgence ! (crevettes congelées alors qu'en bord de mer!). Les prestations ne sont pas à la hauteur du prix. A noté : le personnel travaillant ici est sympa.
