I liked the clean room, comfortable bed, and ample space.
I didn’t like some noise I could here from other people, but I guess that’s to be somewhat expected in a hotel.

Stayed two night....Walked in to Lobby to check in and Front desk was busy on their phone and didn't acknowledge or greet after I stood there for about 2 minutes.
Room was decent size, but bedsheets and quilt were stained. One bed sheet had holes in it. Floor had dirt and spots that were not cleaned right and room smelled funny when I first arrived.
It was fine to have a clean quiet place to lay our heads but breakfast was a joke a little Debbie honey bun was just a stupid idea as continental breakfast. But all in all it was clean and quiet.

Fine for a place to seep in the Syracuse area. We found it to be clean but very dated with a strong mildew smell in the room. As the other reviews stated there is a poor effort for breakfast basically non existing. It is conveniently located to SU (about 20 minutes). It was not worth the price but Everything else was sold out. If you can gut it for sub $100 it will serve the purpose.
The hotel stay was just okay. There seems to be longtime residents throughout the hotel and at times, really noisy. The owners need to upgrade more than the floors and bedding. The TV would shut off when using the barely working microwave. The remote barely worked. The staff seemed decent enough, they run that hotel on a shoestring staff. The beds were comfortable, the water in shower always hot and mostly it was quiet.

Hotel was very clean looking . Staff was friendly and check in was quick . Room was clean . Would definitely stay again .
Property itself was maintained well. Check in was quick. Mold on walls in the bathroom and the sink did not drain. Breakfast was very limited. I have stayed at two Super 8s back to back on this trip and disappointed, looked for hotels with breakfast to save money and time and no luck.

The lady on reception was very helpful.
The bathroom was very clean and I liked that it had handrails for the bath/shower.
We didn't like the ice machine not working.
No breakfast.
The check in staff was very friendly.
The room was clean but the bed was hard and lumpy.
The grab and go breakfast was lacking. It says it’s 6am-9am but when I went to it at 8am there was only 3 tiny honey buns left and a mostly empty pitcher of juice with no cover.
The stay was fine. It was quiet, seemed like a safe area, restaurants and gas stations close by. However it advertises breakfast included which I do not consider a breakfast all there was, was honeybun, orange juice, coffee and tea. They need to add something like hardboiled eggs, yogurt, fruit (banana, oranges, apples. These are all simple things that can be added or take off that breakfast is included.

I have stayed here many times but the service and staff seems to go down each time I go there. I'm not sure who was arguing until 3am but it kept me awake most of the night. I thought it was the front desk manager and her significant other....he was flipping between anger and anger so I really hesitated to find out what was going on. I believe another person staying in another room came out and told them to be quiet....things settled down but I only got a couple of hours of sleep. In the morning, I went out for breakfast but there was really nothing to eat except a couple of packaged pastries....again a downgrade from previous visits. The person on staff did offer to make me fresh coffee which I was very thankful for.....she was very nice. I asked for coffee because while I had coffee and condiments to make coffee in the room....there was no coffee maker.....strange. I only spent one night there and decided the next five nights in town would be at a better location. This was my go to location for years due to the convenience and location....I'm moving on.

People were pleasant and room clean. "Breakfast" was pretty lame. Coffee was like warm and pastry was not very good. Would be a significant upgrade to simply have bagels with a couple of toppings. Add $2 per room if necessary. If you are going to do something, do it well.
Building has been updated, clean looking facility. Poor management of parking lot which had built up
ice in the parking spaces making it difficult to walk. Advertised with free breakfast…there was one honey bun in a plastic wrapper at 8am, so don’t expect anything. Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable.
Even if the hotel was at an affordable price, you would expect more from a super 8. Realllly bad cigarette smell in the room. Ceiling splashed with red ish stains, very warm temperature. Breakfast included ? Common, it was literally a loaf of bread and a pot of coffee.

I like that I was allowed my dogs in the room. Another person staying thought my dogs would be cold if left in my vehicle (they are German Shepherds) they would not but I brought them in anyway.
The green areas did have broken glass in the grass, which could have been hazardous for my dogs, but I was able to avoid it. I also cleaned up after my dogs but others hadn't.
I did mention that the seal between the toilet tank and bowl leaked, Also very difficult to get the tub to stop running. Dripped all the time. The room was clean and fairly comfortable tho.

Pros:
Conveniently located, the hotel was a straight road to the mall. Excellent service from the front desk crew. The room was very clean, and the towels and bedding looked new.
Cons:
Two story motel, so no elevator. It was an old property, so the heater was loud, and the bathroom needs to be updated.
The "free breakfast" was pre-packaged sugary danishes, juice, and coffee. It was a terrible offering, the claim is misleading. Go one minute west to McDonalds, or east to Stella's Diner across from the mall instead.
Overall:
I understand the complaints, and there were no frills, but I was just there to sleep, and it was clean and comfortable enough to do the job. If you want a fancy hotel, go downtown and pay a few hundred dollars a night. The reviews of the other hotels in this price range were scary, so I'm glad I found this one.
I had no hot water to be able to shower. It was reported to the front desk. I was told the front desk has hot water and that I must be turning it on improperly I than explained that as a mature gentleman with 40 years as a paramedic/ firefighter I now how to turn valves. He then said let it run. I responded I did for 15 minutes. He then said he checked by the front desk and it's hot. I then invited him to my room 104 which is 2 rooms way from the front desk. He informed me that he is not permitted to leave the desk. I checked out due to an early business meeting without being able to shower. When checked out I again informed him if the situation and all he said was the water is hot. I asked if he was calling me a liar and all he said was the water is hot I stormed out. I was never so disrespected for services I paid for. Needless to say, they lost a regular customer. Super 8 customer service was tried to be contacted. Apparently no body answers the phone on weekends
So when we pulled up to this Super 8 we were surprised as it wasn't the one we thought we booked. The first thing we noticed were the dirty windows and ripped screens. there were detergent bottles in windows making us think that perhaps some residents lived there full time. We were greeted by a disheveled front desk employee. I immediately asked if people lived in some rooms. He assured me they did not. Our room was fairly clean but the wall in the bathroom was filthy. I gave this hotel a 2 star because the beds were comfortable and the bedding was clean. Since we were only there to sleep, we decided we would stay as we couldn't afford to eat the cost. We went to sleep that night but since we were the first room beside the lobby, we found it extremely noisy. People were coming and going all night and screaming down the hallways. I was awakened in the night by screaming and yelling in a different language. I soon realized it was the employee on the nightshift at the front desk watching a movie in a foreign language. It finally quieted down around 4:30 am. The next morning I came out to talk to the front desk employee about the loud movie the night before. He barely spoke english and had a hard time understanding me. My booking said breakfast was included. All there was was coffee, water for tea that was luke warm and a couple of jugs of juice and some honey buns. Yuck! The lobby constantly smelled of marijuana. Do not book this hotel.
