"Absolutely loved our weekend at the Dower House! Amazing location surrounded by nature, the building is so beautiful and our room was huge and had every comfort. All the things you don't find in chain hotels are here - four poster bed, comfy sofa, coffee table and chairs sat amongst a wonderful backdrop, dark and quiet at night for a great sleep. And not to forget the amazing and genuine owners, Tim and Rosemarie, and Teresa who served a great breakfast "

Lovely little touches like earplugs (yes the church clock chimes through the night, I didn’t hear it but my husband did), make up remover pads and shower caps. Lovely breakfast cooked to order. Super friendly people, and the communal fridge under the stairs with milk and juices to help yourself to is a really thoughtful addition. "

We were the only guests for dinner but didn't feel awkward as the staff including the chef were chatting with us. The place was full of character whilst giving attention to comfort. "Set in beautiful surroundings with lots of walks on your doorstep and two local dog friendly pubs that serve food. The owners are lovely and helpful in person and replied to our messages very quickly before we came. The accommodation is very clean and really cosy, dog friendly being a plus. Will definitely visit again this summer."
