"Staying at Numazu Club was magical. It truly felt like a hidden gem. The stuff was very welcoming and made every wish possible. My financé proposed to me on the last night in the private dining room in the old tea house. It will be a place that will forever stay in our hearts. Thank you Numazu Club team for making this stay so special. "
"Really wonderful hotel with private natural osen (in the suite we had). The public osen was also very nice with all the amenities. Dinner and breakfast was served very much like a 5star restaurant, but very traditional Japanese so that is something you have to like. The hotel is very old, boasting as one of the oldest, so it’s pretty authentic so is a bit musty in the common areas. However our room didn’t smell musty and was very clean and felt new. We loved the natural Osen. Would visit again...
"It was lovely. The food and private in-suite onsen were all incredible, and the service was also top-notch. Also of note, the beds were particularly comfy."
"This is an amazing gem of a hotel. It is extremely chic. The staff are so friendly and the food and booze are next level. Not for kids this is really a couples hotel. "
"Amazing and magical experience! The hospitality of the staff is at a very high standard. Perfect for couples. Every room is different but they each have a private onsen with hot spring water. Only stayed one night and it’s been highlight of our 2 week Japan trip so far. "
"This hotel was amazing. From the moment we walked on the premises we were greeted by friendly staff who helped us with our luggage and made our check-in very easy. The lobby is nice but the view of lake Ashi was breathtaking. The onsen was something special. It has multiple baths and an open air setting that will be hard to top. The dinner and breakfast buffet meals were amazing and dinner included Japanese whiskey. If you’re looking for something to balance out the crowded busy city life of...
"Hakone Kowakien TEN-YU delivered exactly the kind of “only-in-Japan” immersion we were hoping for—arriving to find yukata waiting in the room, then wearing them to both dinner and breakfast made the whole ryokan experience feel authentic and fun. The entire property has a spa-like calm: steam rising from the open-air onsen, pine trees framing every window, and soft koto music in the halls. Staff were gracious to the last detail, guiding us through the kaiseki meal and making sure even our brief...
