"Lovely hotel! Was there to see family for a short visit. Very comfortable and the free breakfast was a great perk. We didn’t get a chance to use the amenities, but they were very nice looking. The staff were wonderful and very friendly, easy to talk to and very helpful. Would definitely stay there again next time I come to Courtenay."

"We stayed at Painter's for two nights on the way to, and back, from Telegraph Cove. Painter's is a very relaxing place to stay on a busy road trip. It's a little time out to just sit on the fantastic terrace and have a drink or a meal and watch that spectacular view. On our first night, there was a humpback in the inlet and it was a joy to sit, with a glass of wine and some binoculars, and just watch it. The staff and so friendly and helpful, I enjoyed chatting about the gardens and the cruise ships going past. We had sea view rooms both times, it's a great view to wake up to. There's a lovely outdoor pool that, unfortunately, I did not get time to use but maybe next time. Painter's is a lovely, relaxing place to stay, we would recommend it."

"First time we stayed there. We did not play golf but my wife took advantage of the spa services which she really enjoyed. We ate at the Timber Room Restaurant which was excellent. We had one of their cabins or Villas as they call them. It was very nice. Everything was great with the room. We could sit on our balcony and look out over the golf coarse. We will definitely stay at Crown Isle again."
