I loved the cabin we stayed in. Very cute, well maintained. The drive is so beautiful, through the forest, far enough you start thinking you are lost, then there it is, lol. All the cabins are scattered through the trees, and the location couldnt be better so close to the trail of 10 waterfalls.

Really beautiful little cabin! Everything was clean and comfortable, and the scenery is 10/10. My only issue was that the shared bathroom had a shower that was inhabited by a family of unnervingly large daddy longleg spiders. I attempted to eradicate them with the showerhead, but they proved elusive. I don’t do spiders, so I couldn’t shower here. That was not great, but I still loved the cabins and my stay here overall. Just beware if you don’t like spiders.

I looked forward to going to Smith Creek for some time, but when I got there, I was concerned about it being secluded, especially for a older solo traveler and her small dog. Maybe it was traveling to an unfamiliar area. Once I found my cabin, I relaxed and enjoyed the experience. Check was a breeze and I find the cabin. (I am terrible at reading maps, but got some help.) I loved the solitude and walked the trails with my dog (where permitted). The cabin had everything I needed. I did not mind taking my shower in a separate structure. (Hey, I decided if I didn't feel like taking a shower, I didn't have to. My dog would not have complained.) It is a lovely spot and I highly recommend it. Yes, you do have to go up some stairs and a short trail, but you are already willing to go hiking. Being in nature is good for the soul.

We absolutely loved the peaceful surroundings! Trails are abundant. Very clean park. We also had access to showers and the community space. Both were well stocked with everything we needed. Indoor plumbing was very convenient and appreciated. Beds weren't super comfy but better than the ground for sure! Having a fridge, coffee maker and fan were also a bonus.

This was our first time staying at a cabin in a State Park. What a pleasure this was. The room was well equipped with a small refrigerator with a freezer and a half bath. The place was very clean. The shared shower building was very clean once I swept out the 1-2 bugs but hey we were in a campground so to be expected. We never saw any staff even though we arrived during their business hours. That was okay since they left our key at their kiosk which was easy to identify. The only question was regarding how to visit someone camping in the campground. The staff there seemed to have an issue that someone with a Smith Creek Village parking pass was parking temporarily in site of our friends campsite. We shared meals with them but did not stay overnight and we left and arrived outside their quiet hours. That was the only concern we had but since we only were there one night it was not much of a concern for us.

The surrounding nature was excellent. They also left a small map for us with someone marking where to go for our cabin. We never would have found it without this and are grateful.
