"Ideal location for visiting Southampton, there are some nice pubs only a short drive away. The breakfast was good lots to choose from. I stayed in the quadruple room on the top floor. It was big, spacious but a bit hot so we had four fans running. Very good overall"

"Staff were friendly and welcoming on arrival and lovely to speak to throughout our short stay. The hotel is immaculately kept and tastefully furnished. Our room was spacious (family room with a queen bed and bunk beds for our 2 children was a dream for them) and had great amenities. Bathroom was clean and basic toiletries were supplied along with shaving and dental kits. Enjoyed our short stay and would highly recommned."

"Beautiful historic mansion. We walked thru nearby parks to the riverfront for lunch. The outdoor restaurant at Orange Grove was very pleasant for an evening dinner and happy hour. The admiral lounge is very comfortable while waiting for pickup to go to the airport or cruise ships."

"I was a bit disappointed with the breakfast, it took about 15 mins to get a cup of tea and cold coffee after we sat down and as much time to get breakfast, it wasn’t really busy either"

"Staff were lovely, very helpful, we were late for breakfast but they didn’t mind. Unfortunately the pool and spa were not open for our stay, however breakfast on the patio was glorious"

"Breakfast very poor. Quality of food poor, sausages undercooked, bacon swimming in grease, fried eggs hard. Had to ask for milk, tea spoons and hot water. Coffee and hot water pot not labelled. Tables not cleaned and small bin over flowing. Room fan and 2 table lights not working . Shower gel empty on arrival. No information in room about hotel all done on a QR code.which is not practical for all."

"A good hotel just a short uphill walk from the ferry & hover points with a convenient bus stop nearby. Our room was comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. We would definitely stay again."

"The location is unbeatable for the historic dockyard (30 mtr) and gunwharf quay and rail station. Good breakfast nicely cooked and tasty. The rooms are to a modern decor with fans for the heat, as there is no air con. We had room 25 which is small, but adequate. The bathroom is the smallest I have ever had with a basin that is tiny. Good shower cubicle that takes most of the space. We would stay there again but not in 25."

"Staff were very welcoming and chatty. They were also helpful when we needed things. The Rooms were fine but looked a bit tired. The cover had fallen off the bathroom extractor fan and the heated towel rail was held together with electrical tape for example. However the TV had a full range of "freeview" programmes. The adjoining Hungry Horse was useful but very busy as we hit it at 7.00pm on a Friday evening. Breakfasts were Okay. Food was good but orange juice ran out, the coffee was just...

"The Copper Beeches is a 15 minute walk from the South Downs Way. I received a very warm welcome and my stay couldn’t have been better. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Thank you so much. "

"It is clean but there was a big spider crawling on the bed frame. Asked the receptionist for help they came but they did’t caught it as one of them was more scared than the spider. You can clearly hear the sound of closing door of nearby rooms. So you can wake up with the loud banging noise."

"Upon entering, the room smelt strongly of mould and damp. There was mould all over the bedroom window and the smell also came from the bathroom. The bathroom door latch didn't work, so the door didn't stay closed. The bathroom extractor fan is caked with dust, the bath looks like it hadn't been cleaned, the panel looks incomplete and the grouting is mouldy in the shower. The bedroom had a radio, which was also caked in dust. I have a severe allergy to dust, which immediately caused a...
