"We had a nice stay at the hotel even though everything was closed. We knew that when booking though. The property as a whole needs renovating (hence closed), but the location on a peninsula was great with great views. You can see the potential of the property. And the grounds are pretty well maintained. You can walk around the grounds from the harbor to the other side/other bay. We saw an otter, harbor seal, sea stars, and eagles. Our room was clean and had everything we needed, but the carpet definitely needs replacing. We would stay there again if cost was still reasonable. I would choose an oceanfront room though, to get a full view of the bay. The staff were great and were very responsive to our needs."

"Our 2 bedroom unit was perfect for our family of 3. The suites are an 8 minute walk to downtown BH. The person at the front desk was helpful."

"The rooms are really outdated & there aren't any options really to even purchase items from a vending machine. We checked in & out on our own with an email that had instructions which felt very unwelcoming to not have one person to interact with. Seems like they just want people to stay and leave without interaction. We packed up at 9am the day we were due to leave and walked to breakfast. We planned to come back to eat but a worker was coming out of our room when we got back not even 10 minutes later. We had the room until 11 so it felt rushed and unprofessional to enter and assume guests are gone. We wouldnt stay here again. "

"We checked in on a day when the entire area was without power. While it would be unfair to blame the resort for the outage itself, the lack of communication was unacceptable. The outage began at 8:00 AM, yet we received no updates prior to our 3:30 PM arrival. Upon check-in, the staff provided the bare minimum: instructions on how to operate the one functioning heater. We had to return to the lobby ourselves to ask basic questions, such as whether there would be hot water (there wasn't) or how to light the room (we were told to find a small lantern under the sink). The front desk staff were discouraging and cold; there were no apologies, no proactive guidance, and no ETAs. It felt as though we were an inconvenience for asking for help. While power was eventually restored thanks to PSE, the resort’s "you're on your own" attitude made us seriously consider leaving. Based on this experience, I have no confidence that the management would have offered any support or compensation had the outage continued. I am rating it 3 instead of 0 is only because the other front desk young lady was nice and kind to us on the following day to help us setting up kayaking, and this has been the only positive experience we have had during our stay."

"Everything was perfect! The inn was so cute and only 5 minutes from Friday Harbour. The alpacas and sheep were a big plus! Would definitely stay here again!"

"Id recommend if your going to have breakfast make a reservation ir you could wait a very long time before you can even order food. The views are so beautiful! "

"Booked this with the intent on using the bicycles and hot tub advertised; we arrived on the island not having a car, so wanted to use the bikes but were alerted that they ‘weren’t out of winter storage yet’ (this was the 1st week of April)—unfortunate as we then needed to rent 2 bikes at $140/day. The hot tub evidently was for the use of another unit. Other than those two debacles, the place was charming, attentive staff and the breakfasts were nice. Great location, everything in Friday Harbor was walkable."

"This place is class on every level…from the room cleanliness, to fresh baked cookies in the evening, to the delicious breakfast, to the informative host. But what sets it above all others is the evening’s piano event which should not be missed. We had a 3 night stay and we hope to return."
