Extended lounge with complementary whiskeys to try, and other guests were friendly and open to conversation. Located at the north end of Pitlochry, but only a 3 minute walk to the town. Excellent heating in the room. I particularly liked how friendly the staff were. Definitely a place to stay at again."

"Lovely hotel. We were met by the friendly owner Greg when we arrived and shown to a lovely room with great views over the hills. The whole hotel (a former large house) is beautifully decorated in keeping with the house, and has well kept gardens for sunny days. Very close to the town centre but quiet. Breakfast was delicious and very well presented. Highly recommended all round."

"Staff were very helpful and friendly. One disappointment was that no house keeping was done in the room presumably because we had a 2 night stay . Any other hotel I have stayed in ( even lower priced ) have at least straightened the bed ,put out clean cups , maybe quick wipe of bathroom ."

"Beautiful hotel and gardens with a bar and restaurant on-site. We had a lovely time wandering the grounds with a cocktail and even felt a bit like royalty. A breakfast buffet was included and had great options. The rooms are a little older and dated - it was hot in the room - because I don’t think we had a/c - but they were very clean and the beds were comfortable. (Make sure you check out the hotel museum in the basement - it’s really interesting!"
