"Had a really nice stay at the hotel for my wifes birthday, the room was lovely, comfortable and well designed. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was fantastic, particularly the dinner. Hving stayed in a number of similar hotels I have to say this one was amongst the best and I’d happily reccomend it."

"This place was simply amazing. One of the best places we’ve ever stayed at. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. It’s a very easy pleasant and short walk right to the heart of town. Would definitely highly recommend staying here to anybody."

"Verandah for breakfast and dinner bit understaffed. Long wait for wine and meal. 1 hour after ordering. Meal a bit underwhelming. Long wait for bread tea and coffee at breakfast Stags head bar very efficient"

"We stayed for 2 nights & loved it! Such friendly staff, the food was delicious, the bed was comfortable & we had a great time! Our server at breakfast was so funny & chatty which we enjoyed. Breakfast was probably the best cooked full Scottish I’ve had in a long time. We would definitely go back. I’d say just as an fyi that the bar does get busy so book a table if you’re eating lunch or dinner there. Also, the music in the bar doesn’t stop until 11pm so we could hear it from our room but it...

"Great location, ideal for parking. Room was adequate and bathroom was more modern than room. Breakfast was very good….. self service buffet. No issues. Thank you"

"everything great especially the wonderful staff"

"Fantastic stay! Charming and super clean. Highly recommend"

"Peter's service at check in and bar service was warm and welcoming"

"Had a great stay here. First time at this hotel & will definitely stay again. Friendly staff, clean rooms. Good bar though we didn’t use it. Breakfast was great. Really good selection. Definitely recommend."

"The Dunalastair was a pleasant surprise at the end of a long and winding road, and I mean that literally! We booked online thinking it would shorten our ride to Edinburgh from Loch Ness because the Expedia website said it was in Pitlochry, but it’s actually 20 miles away from Pitlochry! Since it was a one-night stay and rainy we weren’t able to enjoy all of the property, but the rooms were spacious and modern, the restaurant featured excellent food and service, and the front desk staff was...

"An amazing stay for those who love wonderful design, warm hospitality, excellent food and beautiful scenery. We stayed for one night only, in the main house and it was a great relaxing time. The interiors of the house are what drew us to book, but the overall experience made us want to go back. The rooms are well appointed, beds comfortable and have lovely views of the surrounding highlands. Our room was downstairs, as we had a dog with us, and were beside the kitchen so there was some noise...

"Beautiful, quiet location by Loch Tay at the edge of the village. Accommodation is well maintained if a little frayed, the landscaped grounds are really well maintained. The onsite swimming pool and restaurant/bar is useful as there are limited alternatives nearby. Friendly, welcoming staff."
