"This is an excellent facility with good beds and bathrooms. Our stay was spoilt by surly unhelpful reception staff. After telling us that we could not check in before 3 pm, the same person checked in a crew of pilots. Then at 3:05 When apparently we qualified to check in we were given a room on the top floor. My wife had an injured knee and asked if there was a room available on a lower floor. Although we were the first to book in after 3 pm we were told there were no other rooms...

"The room was excellent, well equipped, very comfortable with a first rate view from the balcony. The pool and Gym facilities were excellent, easy to use with fantastic staff. The only let down was the bar/restaurant area. The levels of noise from the assorted screens, the shouting and screaming was ridiculous. "We loved the old country pub and hospitality. After a quick walk around the village we settled in for a few ales a fantastic dinner ad a good night sleep. Our breakfast was included which was fantastic as it was a full English breakfast cooked to perfection. Loved our time there and would highly recommend for anyone"

"Beautiful location and property very nice but can't believe there is no lift / elevator in the building. Disappointing breakfast offering. Two breakfast buffet offerings advertised, continental £12.95 and hot £16.95 but on the first day there was no hot buffet. Hot food was ordered a la carte from the kitchen (plated) and price remained £16.95 regardless of what was ordered. Surely pricing should have been adjusted. Overall a very pleasant stay but if you're a senior or someone with disabilities...

"We had a two night stay here for our anniversary. Cannot fault anything. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and immaculately clean. Breakfast was a great experience lots of choices from cold and hot options. Lovely garden to sit and relax. Had a lovely walk along the canal. Overall a great experience. "

"Certainly not as nice as the photos make out. We would not stay again and do not recommend it. Poor nights sleep for many reasons. Not a good shower. Smelly bathroom, noisy fridge, very light in room at night due to fire exit light in room ...hard pillows. Also very glad breakfast wasn't included based on what we saw. Overpriced for what it is. "

"Was good for 1 night stay. Breakfast was nice. Staff super helpful and friendly. Only negative was the slamming doors at night. The bedroom doors require a good slam to shut them so this made it a little disruptive at night. Other than that it was a great little place to stay."
