The property was lovely it was an old manse (church house). The staff were excellent so was the food and service. We had a very good sleep there it was very comfortable and we would definitely stay again.
Very enjoyable experience here. I love the bed and breakfast type environment. Beautiful property. Staff was very nice and kind. The garden was a perfect place to relax.
An old style house on the edge of a small village, with nice gardens and a couple of alpaca roaming around. Nice rooms and really quiet both day and night.
Great breakfast sets you up for a day touring the area.
Not far from Stranraer and Port Patrick so plenty of choice for eating.
Stayed at Torrs Warren for one night on our way to Northern Ireland by ferry. Excellent location for ferry.
Staff very welcoming and attentive but in a discreet way. Very comfortable sleep. Great breakfast. Excellent value for money.
Would definitely recommend.
Quirky little place with friendly staff, we enjoyed an evening meal and breakfast. The room was small but cosy and both found the bed comfy with good nights sleep. I knocked off score for cleanliness due to thick dust in areas but other than that the whole stay was very reasonable for such cheap price and we will definitely be back. Thank you
This is a very nice hotel. Nice room (photos are of Suite 2). Breakfast is excellent. The main issue is that there are not enough lights outside. We arrived when it was dark and it was difficult (and dangerous) getting to the main door from the carpark as it was pitch black and virtually no lights.

The room was large, bed comfortable and
Shower good
Down side room was not the cleanest. Both bath and sink looked like they hadn't been clean, lots of marks on blinds, floor and mold on window frame of bedroom.
We had a great stay. Loved the room including the bath. The bed was comfortable.
The lady at reception/manning the bar - give that lady a raise! So friendly and had me in stitches.
This is an older property and therefore it had character and is a little beat up around some of the edges. If you cannot accept that and want everything sparkling new go to travelodge.
Breakfast was superb, full Scottish breakfast as enjoyed by both of us but other great options inc vegan and gluten free
Lovely weekend at this wonderful hotel. All staff very friendly, polite and helpful in every way. I had a bit of a wobble when I found out I couldn't use the restaurant as it was fully booked that night, but the wobble was my fault for not listening to the staff properly when they explained the bar as an alternative, so a thousand apologies for that. The bar is amazing with lots of quirky items and books, loads of historical pictures, items and woodwork which gives the whole bar and hotel a lot of character. And they have Caledonia Best. Food amazing. The staff and owner Paul, and his lovely wife made this a fantastic weekend. Thank you all of you, I'd love to come back. Thoroughly recommend this gem of a hotel.

Nice sized room
Everything you need to know about a place you can tell from the reception you receive when you arrive. I was greeted by my key in an envelope and a number to call if there was an emergency. The hotel is described as welcoming - not true as the only person I met was at breakfast. The lights were off in the reception rooms when I explored after check in, so I didn’t feel comfortable sitting in there. Breakfast was adequate - toast, cereal, yogurt, etc. Room was big (I was in the Pink Room). The calking in the shower needs replacing as it’s mouldy.

Staff where nice
The bed frame had a wheel missing making the bed uncomfortable and noisy.
Empty biscuit wrapper left on the tea tray and bottle of shower gel in the bathroom had the pump removed and left hanging in the shower. Very doubtful if the room had been cleaned before my visit.
Window had no handle and seemed to be sealed shut.
It was cheap for the night but I wouldn't use again.

A bit of a quirky place. There are no staff on the premises after 6pm on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays which means there is no restaurant or bar available in the evening these days. When we arrived at around 5.55 pm the one staff member was getting ready to leave and wasn't interested in helping us find our rooms or helping us to get settled in. Having said that, the breakfast staff were helpful and attentive and the breakfast itself was fine. The building is old and is in need of complete renovation and as far as we are aware, the family room in the attic (which has 2 bedrooms and a joint bathroom) has no alternative fire escape route than down the main stairs. Would I stay there again? Probably not.
Enjoyable stay in this quiet B&B. Ideal location for sightseeing. Attentive staff and excellent breakfast. Nice to see the alpacas grazing in the adjoining field..
