"A nice hotel off the M1. Plenty of parking. A warm welcome on arrival. All staff were very pleasant. Room was clean and comfortable. Very handy that there was air con in the room. Disappointing that the windows were locked, they should NOT be. Cooked and continental breakfast was good. A excellent hotel due to its location for business or touring."

"The first night was noisy a car came into car park at 2am and was blasting music out and guest or two banging doors and knocking on door The second night was better. Only a two night stay for an event. Housekeeping on Saturday did not replace complimentary tea and coffee bin not emptied and beds not straightened up after 1st night. It's basic no thrills hotel. Also lift out of order."

"If you are visiting Sheffield you can’t go wrong with a stay at this hotel. So easy into sheffield( we were at the Arena) lovely and clean and new. Fab staff and service and food was great in restaurant."

"The room was fine, not exceptional, for me, as I was only staying for 6 nights. I hadn't booked breakfast as it was only offered on a Sunday, but there is a "Sandwich Stop" attached to the hotel in the car park. Parking was adequate, but trying to exit onto the busy main road was a nightmare, as the hedges were so overgrown and hadn't been trimmed, so it was impossible to see traffic approaching from both directions. I made a mistake leaving a shirt and jeans in my room after leaving, the staff were incredibly helpful in assisting me in getting the items posted back to my house - really went the extra mile. "What a deceptively lovely place to stay. The exterior hides the warmth and friendliness inside. Beautifully up to date and simply designed interior. Easy to navigate and super clean. Access to the rooms can be up the fire escape stairs from the rear car park, best for us, or through the bar. And we took advantage of the cutlery and plates offered for our takeaway. Brilliant! The pub has a friendly atmosphere, happy customers and a fab live band played. Do check if there is a live event during...

"Clean place"

"Room was adequate, the heated towel rail was on the other side of the bedroom wall so the bedroom was uncomfortably hot, even at night - but the wife preferred this. The bed was quite firm and a good size. It was difficult to view the TV screen from the settee on the back wall. Tea (Yorkshire) and coffees were plentiful - not so much biscuits. Full English, plus cereals, juice, toast and tea/coffee refills welcome."

"Great hotel for the Peak District"

"In general the hotel was of a good standard the food was very good at breakfast I feel that it lacked choice and beverages should of been more accessible. The bedroom was of a very good standard but lacked a blind so that the curtains could be open and still have privacy where as now once the curtains are open there is no privacy and people can look in from the car park. The shower area could do with a shelf for the shampoo and body wash or dispenser."

"Staff where very friendly, but it was a maze to get to the room, clearer signs need to be put up to direct people to their rooms. Due to warm weather it would have been ideal for the rooms to have A/C"
