"A very pleasant stay at “The Carps”. Very pleasant, helpful, friendly staff. The room was very pleasant with a comfortable bed and roomy shower room. The room layout reflects the history of the property with a couple of shallow steps between the bedroom and shower. We stayed for dinner and were rewarded by a tasty meal. "limited parking at the property on arrival, staff are super friendly and super informative about our stay, helped to get settled into our rooms with an introduction to our room. The room was clean and tidy and plenty of complementary beverages for the room. We had a wonderful stay at the hotel and felt relaxed and comfortable throughout our stay!"

The hotel wouldn’t refund or even make a gesture so do not book non refundable. I was allocated room 8 and it was like the worst B&B from the 80’s. "Good for what I needed but unusual layout if you are not expecting it! Each room looks out into the communal space. "

"The staff were great, really friendly, happy to help, chatty and gave us a nice evening. Really pretty setting, we could watch the water from our room, the room itself was really nicely decorated, we had cute dog themed touches, nice and clean, we couldn’t say anything bad about it. "

"Location is perfect, close to lots of things to do and see. The staff are all very nice and friendly, can't folt them at all. The room we stayed in could do with a bit of an upgrade in the bathroom and a freshen up but it was still a nice enough stay. Food was beautiful, dining room was very clean and nicely presented.
