We stayed and ate dinner here. Service was excellent and the food was very tasty and good value. A hidden gem in Chew Magna that is well worth a visit.
Our stay at The Queen's was adorable!
Great town, friendly and helpful staff + a great meal. Strongly recommend a stay here. Comfortable and spacious room!
A beautiful small hotel in a typical old English village. The staff were very helpful and friendly. A short drive to Bristol airport. We would definitely stay again if we are in that area.
The room was comfortable and inviting, and it was also quiet. We loved it, however, it was rather disappointing that the pub restaurant wasn’t open on a Sunday evening and also doesn’t open for breakfast. The staff were so lovely in explaining the there was coffee and cereal in our room but it wasn’t really what we want so we walked to another place nearby. Other than that, it was great.
Very quaint inn! Great location to walk around town and other restaurants. Although I highly recommend their restaurant and the homemade ice cream and desserts are great. Close to Stanton Drew stone circle and Bristol Airport. Highly recommend!!!!
A really good alternative if you want to stay close to Bristol airport but don’t want to pay inflated airport hotel prices. Staff very helpful. In room continental breakfast worked for us with an early departure. Picnic tables out front could do with a bit of attention.
What a little gem this place is. Chew Magna is stunning and The Queens is a great place to stay. Room was lovely and well decorated. Everything was clean too. Staff were welcoming, chatty, friendly and we wished we were able to eat there but we’d already got dinner plans elsewhere or we’d have happily just settled in for the evening. The locals were lovely too and got chatting to a few of them whilst we had a drink and enjoyed the sunshine. Would definitely recommend and we will head back one day and stay overnight and dine there.
Great value, honest hotel definitely worth staying
Lovely, greeted with a smile and checked straight in, the room was nice clean and comfortable, breakfast is basic but I didn’t mind as I only have small breakfasts, my only advice to travellers would be check if the kitchen is open for evening meals during your stay, it wasn’t on my 1st night however there was a great pub just up the road. I will definitely stay here again, I didn’t get the ladies name behind the bar, but a big shout to her she was great.
We had the pleasure of a one night stay at the Queen's Chew Magna and we enjoyed every second. The room was really nice and spacious, tastefully decorated and had every thing we needed. We enjoyed a walk on Sunday morning around Chew Magna lake and then a roast at the Queen's which was also excellent! We will be back. Thanks to Will and all the staff who were very friendly and looked after us.
Lovely area.
Room was changed on arrival. Informed we had been upgraded!
No real storage, cupboard door nearly fell off hinges, hanging spaces for a few items.
Large room with en-suite shower room.
Shower room had sensor light with a glass door which meant there was light flooding the room for a considerable amount of time disturbing sleep and very frustrating.
Breakfast in cupboard no hot food very basic.
Had meal in pub very nice, restricted menu on certain days, lovely environment.
Tired rooms, no toiletries except shower gel. Squeaky bed frame. Filthy sofa bed cover. Lights didn’t work properly and bulb out.
Free breakfast was a mini mini fridge in room with juice and yoghurt, cereal and flapjacks. Not enough milk for two people and no coissants toast etc. we were told it worked best in the room as people leave at all hours. Nowhere to sit and eat in the room so we left without ‘breakfast’
Advertising as restaurant available but not on Monday or Tuesday when I arrived.
No ‘courtyard as advertised- tarmac frontage with a couple of tired picnic tables.
Woken at 6.30 by commercial waste pick up for the pub. Drop key in box when you leave - no staff in morning. Very poor
Lovely stay, staff attentive to our needs when we had an issue. Would visit again.

Great communication from The Queens ahead of arrival. There was some local flooding on the day of our arrival and they called to let us know where best to park and how to avoid closed roads. So helpful!
Room was lovely and clean, with mini fridge containing fresh milk, juice and yogurts, plus little cupboard with cereal and flapjacks.
The only thing missing in the room was a mirror, which made blow drying my hair tricky
Charmerende pub med fint værelse. Ret stort og med et pænt og stort badeværelse. Hyggelig stemning, og ret stille om natten. Alt det man forventer af et værelse i en lille hyggelig engelsk by
