Hollander Boutique Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"First time stay at The Hollander and would definitely return. Our king suite room was huge, although I could do without crazy gold/yellow doors. The rooms are dated and furniture was worn but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom had plenty of high quality towels. The best part was having a quiet room with no noticeable noise from other guests.
The amenities make up for the less than fabulous room decor. The pool area was FANTASTIC. Lots of lounge chairs and tables with extra large umbrellas. Also many cabanas to rent if you want even more shade. There’s an outdoor pool bar with service available to the entire pool area. We happened to stay on a Monday night and enjoyed the Monday Martini specials ($6 for delicious, full-strength martinis all day). This area was perfect for spending an entire afternoon!
There’s a full-service restaurant on site that was very popular. We enjoyed breakfast sitting on the outdoor porch.
All of the staff were super friendly and parking was free. Really appreciated for a downtown location
We didn’t stay long enough to use the spa or fitness room, but this place definitely has a lot to offer and the prices are very reasonable.

The Exchange Hotel
6/10 Okay
"This hotel was pretty much on par with what the other Expedia reviewers have described, so it was what I expected. It's under renovation so it has pretty much no amenities (the restaurant and bar aren't open and not much else to do there). I just mainly wanted it for the prime location downtown, which it was definitely in a great spot.
The big thing everyone needs to plan for and pay attention to, is that as other reviews have accurately stated, there is practically no parking. BUT, even though I didn't get a spot this time, I did learn from the front desk how to beat everyone to a spot before being shut out. You need to arrive the moment check-in opens up at 3pm. Check-in and pay for your parking, then you get a pass to put on your window, but you can leave, you don't have to stay in your spot because they'll cut everyone else off later once the passes sell out. If you show up at 5 or 6pm, you're not likely to get one. This is a tip for their parking policy, I wish another reviewer would've posted this, so I'm doing it now to help others. Other than the parking hassle, this hotel is acceptable for a clean, quiet stay downtown St Pete. "

GALAXY HOTEL
8/10 Good
"The room was ok. The blanket was gross. Needs updating"

Quality Inn Saint Petersburg North-Tampa Bay
10/10 Excellent
"Overall, it was a good stay. It appears the current owner is making good effort efforts to make the place a decent place. But it still needs work. I was unable to get shampoo for the first few days, my bath would not feel because the drain didn’t have a plug, some noisy guest that appeared to be more like long-term tenants. But the staff was really nice and overall it was a good stay. Also, every single lounge chair in the pool area was broken so I was not able to relax by the pool. I suggest they remove the broken chairs. They do not make a nice decoration. They’re more of a tease which I did not appreciate. I would stay again though."

Ponce De Leon Hotel
4/10 Poor
"The hotel was old but that we knew, but it needed so much updating. No hand soap was in the bathroom and asked for some and never got any.
Shower when you turned it on was coming out of the wall . Had the only room with a cute balcony. Nice location. "
