"Hotel Steenhuyse was a very nice place for me to stay on my cycling trip to Flanders. Bart was a great host. He even sat and had a nice chat with me at breakfast. My room was very large, clean, and well-decorated. Breakfast was a buffet with a variety of meats, breads, pastries, and cereals. As a cycling fan from the U.S., I couldn't recommend a hotel more than this one. It is a few steps away from the Tour of Flanders museum, and a short ride from the famous climbs of the Ronde. "A great home base for a cycling trip. The rooms were very clean and modern and all the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. There was a convenient and secure bike storage room in the garage with local bike services nearby. The many routes as detailed by the Centrum RVV all originate at the doorstep of the hotel. "My family booked a premium room at a wellness spa. This is not what we experienced. Access to the room was via a narrow staircase into the loft. No hand rails. Narrow steps. Basic health and safety issue. The room felt like a half converted loft. Curtains simply hid what was basically an area of junk. The bunk bed for the kids has a large spike just above it. If a child where to sit up quickly i they would put a hole in their head. The one loft window in the room is low down and...

"Our stay was perfect for our purposes. We had a one night reservation here followed by a one night reservation at Pairi Daiza. We wanted to be close to Pairi Daiza so that we could go to the zoo early on the day of our planned arrival. Rather than being just a useful location, Hotel du Parc turned out to be very charming. The room was spacious, the staff helpful and the breakfast was wonderful. The town of Ath is lovely with a lot of restaurants, bars, and little shops to stroll in and out...
