"Very good breakfast, staff lovely "

"We stayed here for one night over the weekend, a pretty little property around 30 minutes walk from central Canterbury. This wasn't too much of an issue as we are happy to walk but it was further than anticipated. We slept so well in the soft bed and liked our little room. When we arrived however there was a brown stain in the toilet and although we flushed it a few times, it would always come back which suggests plumping needs a look at. Says 4 rooms on website but there are 6 and they are all really close together. We were woken up by a toddler scream and crying at 7am outside our door. Breakfast was subpar to be honest - our bowls and plates were a little dirty and crispy as hadnt been cleaned properly. Breakfast is advertised as continental so we were expecting some cheese cold meats for our bread but there was just toast, marmite and butter etc, cereal and some mixed fruit. Overall, nice property, friendly staff, comfy beds but hygiene could be improved as could breakfast. "

"We had a wonderful time, John was very polite and welcoming, he gave us great advice, we get a family room it was clean and very nice. Breakfast was great. I think John is a fantastic staff. Highly recommend this hotel. On my next trip to Canterbury i will be staying at this hotel "

"A fantastic location with a large very clean bedroom. The bathroom was small but good with an enthusiastic shower. Normal coffee and tea making facility. My only complaint was the bed was rather small for two people. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Is definitely stay here again. "

"Toilet situation misleading - I thought I booked an en-suite with shower i.e. rather than a bath. It was a shower in the corner of the room. Shared toilet down the landing!! - glad my wife wasn’t with me on this trip!!! This wouldn’t have been so bad had there been more toilet paper. Zero information in room e.g. wi-fi code. Nobody to speak with at the property - there was an emergency number - fortunately there was a Tesco express close-by. "

"Small single room, nicely decorated and simply furnished. Fabulous view of the cathedral. The place is clean and quiet, I loved it and when I can afford it I will definitely stay again. The reception staff were lovely and very helpful. The breakfast was also really nice and the dining room is very calm and comfortable. One little niggle, the shower was very small and not very powerful. "

"The staff were fantastic very helpful and lovely to talk too and the room was beyond what I was expecting, beautifully clean lovely and warm the toilets were always clean and the shower was a walk in we absolutely enjoyed I stay and hopefully will be back next year. Thank you to all the staff for making us feel very welcomed."
