Great location for Cruz Bay- we were walking and yes, the most direct route is a very steep hill. The bed was different than our Sleep Number- felt several springs!

The owner of the property is very accessible and helpful, the property is well maintained, clean and spacious. The location is close to all of the town amenities and the rates are very reasonable.

3 nights in St. John- great stay close to Cruz Bay

We were on St. John for 3 nights and the location is pretty ideal for the price as it’s very close to the shops and restaurants of Cruz Bay. It definitely has the feel of staying with a local as compared to a hotel or resort. The room was one of the most spacious rooms we have ever had, and there were really nice complimentary items in the refrigerator and in the closets for use (beach chairs, coolers). I would stay here again for sure, but that’s because I don’t need the glitz and glamour of a resort. I found the hospitality from Phyllis welcoming and it was more of authentic stay in St. John. The balcony was also great with views looking down on Cruz Bay.

On top of steep climb. Beautiful resultant views. Basic room with worn amendities. Guests can sit in common area outside door. Otherwise just 1/4 mile to center of everything in nice quiet area ( roosters don’t count). Can park out front . Safe

Very lovely Host/Owner unique charm, plenty of outdoor spaces to enjoy, my particular room had a beautiful view. Bathroom could have been better.

We enjoyed our stay in the Tropical Guest Suite. The apartment is spacious, with a bedroom, good sized living area (with futon), small dining area, kitchen and bathroom. The suite had access to a nice balcony with views into Cruz Bay. The entrance was via a covered porch, which we found pleasant. There is not daily housekeeping, but we were able to exchange our towels on the third day of our stay with no fuss. The owner was pleasant and responsive, and we were able to park right in front of the property. The walk up the hill is steep, as others have mentioned, but doable for us. We missed having a pool, but we felt the property was a good value, especially during high season.

Hillcrest Guest House os a nice place to stay!

Phyllis is a great host. The house is on top of a hill over looking Cruz Bay. The views were great. We were there 2 nights and she supplied us with bacon and eggs to cook for breakfast, cokes, sprites, tequila, vodka, rum, Bloody Mary mx, coffee, tea, 2 gallons of water. The rooms have small kitchens in them. This place was a great value. I highly recommend it and Phyllis.

The space was great. The lady showed us around the place. Uncertainly the place was very untidy and the refrigerator that had ice and cold beverages was full of hair.
