"Quirkily excellent. On arrival it is not obviously a hotel since it says it is a retreat for ex services. But they do operate as an hotel, so that is the first step. Then you find it to be full of memorabilia for all branches of the service, good breakfast though not till 8am, no evening meals, but short walks bring you to good food."

"Great location and the sea view room we had was lovely with high ceiling and huge windows. The room-darkening curtains kept us cool in spite of the heatwave and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and even our dog was made to feel welcome in the dining room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back soon."
"Fantastic stay in the Hatfield Lodge Room 2 was great, spacious, quiet, clean. The shower room was lovely large, i feel it maybe a cleaning product used but it seem to leave the floor very slippery and the shower could do with some anti slip texturing on the tray and a handrail for safety. Only down side needs plugs next to the bed. Apart from those points would happily stay again. "
