Hemingway House was extremely charming and eclectic just like St. Augustine. The staff was extremely helpful, breakfast was always accommodating and the rooms were clean and adorable. This is the perfect location to stay in as I literally could walk everywhere in the historical district. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here!

Staff and service of the B&B was outstanding!! Parking was the only negative with scarce parking but the owner of the B&B met us and guided us to the best parking available. Highly recommend!!

Our room was very clean and updated, the bed was very comfortable. The room was very small, but not a problem for us. The breakfast was very good, not a typical chain hotel buffet. The staff were professional, helpful and friendly. And of course, the location was perfect. Would definitely stay there again.

Great location and the staff was great! Within minutes I was taken to the room and checked in and guided on where to park the car. The only thing I didn’t care about was having to park the car away from the property, while it was close, it would be nice to have been able to park in the spaces in front of the room.

The service and the people that worked there were excellent. Ricky was very helpful. The breakfasts they served were very good. The parking could have been better , however that was due to area construction.

Location was great! Parking at property does not accommodate larger vehicles but they had additional parking close by so it wasn’t a big deal. We mostly walked everywhere or took trolley. Room was nice but on smaller side. Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly and responsive. I would stay here again.

This property on Charlotte Street is great because it's close to everything. Parking is included. Breakfeast was good because everything was freshly made. He called before we arrived to ensure we were on our way. Also he let us in earlier then the 3pm check-in. I will surely use this place again the in future.

Great central location that was an easy walk to everything we wanted to see. They let us check in a little early and showed us around very nicely at check it. Noisy beer garden area nexr door on friday night past midnight. We also could hear guests in the hallways, on the shared porch & on the stairs. We had to park our regular sized SUV 2 blocks away in a smaller area than we parked in on site when unloading the car.

The room was very clean and cozy. The first night of our stay the cable was out, so we could not watch tv, but it was fixed by the next morning of our stay. The staff was incredibly friendly and checked on us frequently without being invasive about it. The property is very close to many things in downtown St. Augustine and we were able to get around by walking. There wasn't a mini fridge in our room so that required us to bring coolers to keep drinks cold, but it wasn't a huge inconvenience to our stay. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Rooms were clean, and bedding was excellent, In General Cleaning gets an A , also staff was helpful and friendly, on the other side, the property needs a Serious Renovation. If the problems are not fixed soon it will decay really bad.

Good location right in heart of historic district. Rooms are extra small and parking was tight. We had to park about 2 blocks away from the property. Bed was comfortable. They use central air and set temp at 71 degrees and you cant control temp in your room. Shower was good and big with good water pressure and temp. They use electronic looks but ours didnt work so we had to use backup key. All in all charming place but if you want amenities like dresser closer or fridge in room i wouldnt stay here.

Location and charm

We booked a room with 2 queen beds. The beds themselves were super comfy. Unfortunately they took up all the space in the room which left us using the beds for our luggage and sitting and watching TV. No closet or dresser or microwave or really anything else. The bathroom was updated and very roomy and water was hot with good pressure. The staff was lovely and very attentive. Breakfast was fresh and just the right amount food. Coffee always available. Parking was not ideal but included in the price (a real bonus in the historic district) and we didn't need the car anyway as the location was smack in the middle of old St Augustine - perfect. I would book this location again, maybe a different room.

The staff was so helpful . Showing us where to park down the street. The only thing was the listing did not say an extra $10 to park and an extra $15 cleaning fee which hotels. Com added after I made the reservation. How many more scams can one person look for? The hotel was in the best spot possible BUT you had to walk to the back of the building and climb stairs and the driveway was blocked by cones. Not really appealing. And no breakfast unless you paid more .

Booked at the Hemingway for 3 nights for anniversary trip. On arrival had to go next door to check in. took over 20 mins just to get a person to the door. The lady did not speak much English and was on speaker phone with we assume the owner. We got no instructions or info, just a key to the room door. Had to call back to get a door code for the outside lock. The booking site said breakfast was included for 2 (bed & breakfast) but the next morning the same lady said it would be $15 per person. We had no other info to refer to so we went elsewhere all 3 mornings. Our bath & room smelled strongly of sewage after rain 2nd day and the shower started holding water. We had to ask for additional towels and didn’t get any room cleaning or inquiries into our needs whatsoever, there was only the 1 lady on property briefly at breakfast. Not what we expected of a bed & breakfast at all. Location was great and easily walkable to food and activities. Room was pretty clean although it needed to be swept and it had no mini fridge microwave or safe & room door opened directly into the “dining area/kitchen” so there was considerable noise in the morning although we still didn’t get our breakfast or have access to any type of drink machines or snack options. Got one call from someone with the Inn, asked where I was parked and told me another guest couldn’t get in their space, we walked to check & there was plenty of room. Won’t book here again because of the poor customer
