Air conditioning kept turning off (and displaying an error code) leading to a very uncomfortable stay. Problem was reported to front desk and it was unclear if they tried or were unable to do anything about it. Have stayed here before and it was decent, but this most recent stay was not pleasant at all.
A great place to stay pre or post cruise. Walking distance to the cruise port. The beds and bedding are super comfortable. Across the road from West Quay shopping centre which is convenient for shopping, cafes etc.
There is actually ac at this hotel which is not advertised. It’s also walkable from the railway station. We took uber from the train station to the hotel. It’s only cost us 8 pounds. We could have walked to the hotel if we knew it’s only 400 meters away. It’s literally just around the corner if you know the way. However, The road to the cruise ship on the other hand was harder and not well signed. We missed a few turns but eventually got to the ship in an hour!!! We found that there’s no use asking for directions in Southampton. People don’t seem to know the place very well even the receptionist at the hotel…they just tell you to get a taxi. We probably could have done so to save time and our insanity!!! Good that we didn’t miss our ship 👏👏👏nice hotel next to shops, historic buildings, waterfront, restaurants and train stations. Would like to go back. Southampton has lots to see. One day is not enough…
I was going out on a cruise (NCL) and wanted to be as close to the port and in an area full of things to do, so I found this great hotel with a bar/restaurant on the street level. Perfect launching pad for your Southhampton vacations.

First room had no ac but staff handled a change quite quickly. The whole hotel and restaurant was completely overwhelmed - not sure if it was due to the full house or a lack of staff but they all kept a smiling face and tried to help everyone as quickly and efficiently as possible. Would recommend but perhaps not in a busy weekend.
Parking and drop off was a major problem
Who was contemporary and nicely designed?
The room was extremely hot. No air conditioning 80° plus. I asked them to fix the air conditioner. They told me that they couldn’t do anything about it, and they offered to give me another fan but we already had two fans in the room. I don’t think that room was worth $280. Very disappointing.
Nice room and shower, comfy bed. Helpful staff. Air conditioning not great on very hot days, only 3 towels given for two guests and no Kleenex only toilet paper. Close to cruise terminals and quiet rooms. Included breakfast is convenient but not great.
It's close to the port, so you can walk to your cruise ship; it's always nicely located just across the street from the West Quay Mall, which is a great way to kill time. It's also around a 10-minute walk from a lot of other shops and restaurants, making this an ideal location. You can park your car in the mall's multi-story parking garage, which is convenient, although it's an extra charge you have to think about.
We really enjoyed our stay. We got in late and unfortunately there was really no option for getting food anywhere nearby, despite website making it sound as though there was food available. Staff was friendly. Room was comfortable.
Staff was very friendly and helpful, even though they were clearly overworked. Just like all Premier Inns, there are NO amenities like hairdryers, refrigerators to store insulin, etc.
It was a great location to stay pre boarding on the ship. Clean and a great restaurant. We did a tour from Southampton and walked the area which was interesting. Price point was good not fancy but was what we needed . Definitely would book with them again .
We had a Premier plus room on the hottest day. It was cool with dark curtains and we had the best sleep. The staff worked so hard and were incredibly helpful.
Unfortunately there was a lift out of action so that made queues but everything else was really good including the location.
Although clean, the property felt tired and cramped. The staff were great and the breakfast was excellent and a lovely surprise. Parking in the nearby multi storey was inconvenient.

Disliked: Amenities
At arrival staff was not very welcoming. not rude but just no smile
Staff was helpful with luggage though
Be aware if you like face clothes they have none. was told it was not a 5 star hotel.
Room was nice and clean. Had coffee, kettle, bottled water, soap, lotion etc..
arrived from a day of visiting london and there was not hot water!!! that was annoying and they didn't give explanation and did not know when it would be back. no comp. was offered.

Self check in process challenging.
One elevator was not working made it challenging for cruise day.
Has AC but it's weak
Walking distance to the mall.
Great location close to Central Train Station and beside the mall. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. A quick taxi to the cruise ship pier. Highly recommend!
Amazing breakfast spread including everything you can think of. Very good deal on the evening happy hour as well. Friendly, helpful staff. Very convenient for cruise embarkation. Be aware that there are three Premier Inns in a very small area. Make sure you go to the right one!
Very comfortable bed. Had reasonable package you could purchase, which included drinks, dinner and breakfast the next morning. Five minutes from train station and Port.
