"Pros: Friendly staff. Fantastic English breakfast. Great location, walking distance from the ferry terminal and all stores near the Stronmess waterfront. "The comfort and cleanliness of the room were both excellent. What impressed us the most was the absolute perfect choreography of breakfast being served! "Very cozy hotel with a fantastic family that runs it and makes you feel at home. Clean rooms with lovely views over the river or a neighboring garden. Quiet location, yet very central. "We just stayed one night before the ferry to Orkney. The room was comfortable and really clean. Staff were friendly and helpful so top marks to the team. Great breakfast included in our rate was a bonus. I'd definitely stay here again. "

"We had a wonderful time at Burnside during our road trip through Scotland. Our suite was comfortable and provided all we needed. We loved walking around the tranquil setting and making friends with the local sheep. Our host was friendly, attentive, and the food wonderful. She lent us binoculars and guided us to the best places to see puffins. We’re happy we had the opportunity to stay there."
