"Friendly pub with rooms. Our room faced the village road, but was not especially noisy. The village was quite remote, but convenient for us to continue our trip into north Devon. Our room was a reasonable size with everything we needed for an overnight stay. We had booked dinner in the pub - and although our booking got forgotten, we were able to eat there at the time we had originally booked. Breakfast & dinner were good."

"Lovely staff and a comfy bed saved this property from a less favorable review. It feels like a converted hospital where the interior designer ran out of money. But, it is LITERALLY opposite the station if you need to catch a train. And they have gorgeous looking cannoli. Good in a pinch."

"I only stayed for the 1 night after a migraine prevented me from driving home. The receptionist was lovely explaining all the amenities whilst totally understanding how unwell I was feeling. She checked me in quickly and sent me off to my room with some biscuits. The rooms are spacious with a lovely comfy bed. As I said, it was a last minute stay but would definitely stay again."

"We arrived a little early but Sarah was very accommodating and personally showed us to our room (The Coleridge Room) and other facilities at the property. Our room was very clean and tidy. Our bed at home is large but the one in the room was VERY wide (and proved very comfortable)! The ensuite facilities were very good as were the toiletries provided. "Caro the host was lovely and friendly and very hospitable. The old Manor House is beautiful set in rolling countryside. The bedroom was large, beds were comfortable and good shower. Caro provides an excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Would defo visit again. The Globe Inn nearby does good food and the staff and locals were good fun."

"Hotel was in good condition, however one of the lights for bedtime reading was blown and the bathroom bin hadn't been emptied, but for one night, it was ok. Food was not the best both breakfast and evening. Breakfast hot food was barely warm and evening was the same after waiting 30mins after ordering and only being us and another couple dining. There was a restaurant next door however they fill up fast and had no spaces for us, hence eating in the hotel. In review....book the restaurant next...
