"Great Staff and Room"

"When we were looking for a hotel in Tacoma, we saw this Holiday Inn was rated 9.6, so we expected a pleasant stay. However, we had a very disappointing experience. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff felt robotic; we didn't feel welcomed. When we raised an issue about not being able to connect to the internet, the desk staff offered no solutions and showed zero initiative or willingness to help, just standing there looking at me. This was especially frustrating as the Wi-Fi in the room never worked and the reception was consistently poor throughout our stay. Our room location was also terrible; we were placed on the ground floor right next to the common eating area where parents from a visiting soccer tournament stayed up drinking and chatting loudly until midnight. We could hear their entire conversation clearly from our beds. Then, because breakfast is served at 6:00 AM, we were woken up shortly after by the loud noise of the serving preparation right outside our door. To top it off, the shower head was not working properly—it wouldn't stay up and the water just sprayed outward. The only saving grace was the breakfast, which offered a nice variety of hot, quality selections. However, a good breakfast doesn't make up for the lack of basic hospitality, broken facilities, and a sleepless night. We won’t be staying here again!!"

"The staff were friendly, the room and all areas were clean. I enjoyed the breakfast daily and lemon water. I was able to work out in the gym without noise or interruptions."

"Room is awesome, clean, smells great. Pool is nice. Staff are not great. I had several issues during the stay that ruined it for me. Probably will not stay here ever again. "

"Comfortable bed and clean room. The fridge and microwave are convenient. I was never disturbed by any neighbors, very quiet. There was plenty of parking. "

"Only complaints I have are, no coffee in room and water pressure in shower was almost non existent. All staff that I interacted with were very welcoming and friendly. There are several restaurants within walking distance with a wide variety of food. Service at the uptown grill was horrible and we actually walked out. If I am ever in the Yelm area again, I would stay here."

"The room was pretty clean. Check in was easy and the location is close to a hospital and the fairgrounds. The room was stinky and this is a loud motel with trFfic and lots of sirens because the hospital is close. For the price, the accommodation was okay."
