"Clean modern room with bay window overlooking bustling SF life. Quiet at night and slept with the windows open. Garage parking was a great amenity being so secure and offering a peace of mind. Restaurants galore with a Noah's Bagel attached. I booked one night with Hotels.com and had to extend another night at the desk which did cost me a bit more. Staff were friendly. Overall, this is a hidden gem that I would highly recommend."

"Lovely Victorian hotel in the lower Pacific Heights. Everything was period correct, from the furniture, the paintings, draperies, etc. We especially liked the sherry and biscuits served starting at 4 PM. The breakfast buffet was fine with the usual offerings. Staff was very courteous. The hotel bordered on Japantown and we found a wonderful 10 seat udon restaurant less than a block away. Unfortunately, we didn’t see the ghost."

"The staff were very nice and helpful -- found us a second room fan with no muss or fuss. The area has so much to offer -- including a great coffee shop 2 blocks down! The courtyard and flowers were absolutely beautiful, even at the beginning of fall! Don't know when I'll be back this way, but would stay here again in a heartbeat! Beds were wonderfully comfortable; bath was sparkling and had everything we needed! We did NOT have a car, but they have parking if we had needed it."

"I have booked and stayed here twice in the past year. Neighborhood has great restaurants and specialty markets within walking distance. We enjoyed the rooftop patio area with the night lights after a day of exploring the city. Simple, clean and the right price range. Will be staying here again."
