"Not all rooms have A/C nor access to a lift / elevator. There is a heatwave going on and the rooms are extremely hot… If you are in one of the larger family suites on the 2nd floor be prepared to lug your suitcases up a few flights of stairs"

"The staff at reception were very welcoming and efficient. The 'deluxe' room overlooked the golf course. The bedroom was dated but the superking bed was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very disappointing, quite dated with limescale and mould on taps and shower head. The shower curtain was mouldy and bath mat clean but discoloured with age. I've stayed in better premier Inn rooms. There was a good selection on offer for breakfast."

"We loved our stay here recently. Lobby and public spaces are clean and updated and all staff were SO helpful! I booked the “family room” and loved it!! I was confused at booking because it only said 2 twin beds but it actually came with one double bed and 3 twin beds!!! I would suggest fixing that detail for others booking. "The bar and atmosphere were amazing! This hotel was super busy with tour buses and big groups coming through. The food is great and the service excellent! The building is old and needs updated badly. The room showed signs of being very old and not professionally maintained. Faucets leaked, carpet old, bathroom tub left a lot to be desired. Overall I would stay there again, very family friendly. Just understand it is an older hotel."

"My dad couldn’t stop raving about this place. He loved the build of the lodge hotel. Our toilet wasn’t working properly, and the manager came late at night to give us an upgrade. Such friendly staff, and Nelligan’s has a delicious menu!"

Unfortunately, there was Heatwave when I arrived 30c which even for an American from New Jersey is Hot. "Ennis is a beautiful village and Old Ground is right in the middle. Poet's Corner is excellent. My wife said her meal was the best of any meal she had on a 2 week visit to Ireland and Scotland. Bed slept like a dream. Staff was helpful. Ever a property cat at the door to welcome you to the hotel."

"Location good - short walk to everything. One elevator was broken while we were there which led to long waits and crowded elevators. The cooling/airconditioning did not work very well in the room - and it was extremely hot. Made the night we stayed there a fairly bad sleep. Overall - would likely stay elsewhere next time."
