Amazing hotel with lot of quietness

The Hotel was absolutely amazing. The whole area was very nice and very welcoming. Even with a lot of rooms booked - according to the receptionist - it felt like our own little kingdom. Pool was very quiet and more than enough space. We absolutely loved our stay!

Beautiful - mythical- quiet

Such a beautiful and mythical place. Pleasant surroundings and staff. We were well received and guide to our rooms. The room's house was as mythical as the rest of areas. The rooms were big and comfortable with again a touch some ancient history, nice balcony and a lovely wooden ceiling . Unfortunately It was a one day sleep over, but we give this place best recommendation.

The Hotel Capela das Arte is a refuge from the overcrowded and noisy Albufeira - peaceful and serene. The former Olive Mill converted to boutique hotel is beautifully designed with vintage furniture tastefully arranged. The lovely pool coupled with the specimen Olive Trees is quite lovely. Our host, Julie was fabulous! Breakfast is amazing.

Alcantarilha is tiny but well placed to enjoy the nearby beaches and attractions. The hotel is just off the N125. The hotel is fabulous. It is a 15th century quinta or olive grove with presses. The accommodation has been styled accordingly. If you're looking for something with more character than the usual hotels, this place is perfect. The grounds are extensive and well maintained and shield the location from any traffic noise. The pool is lovely with plenty of space and loungers.

Charming & historic

Despite reading earlier encouraging reviews the hotel surpassed our expectations. Small hotel, about 30 bedrooms. Undoubted character of history & culture in the buildings and furnishings. Friendly & obliging staff. You can have a personal tour round the original buildings and its story. Opened in 2022 is the impressive Crista Galli restaurant for evenings. Daily housekeeping except Sundays. Disabled access would be worth enquiring on.

Capella das Artes is een mooi gelegen complex op een oude olijvenperserij. De 30 kamers zijn wel relatie ver van de receptie aan een lange gang. Op het complex zijn veel tredes en ongelijke delen, dus minder geschikt voor mensen die slecht te been zijn. De kamers zijn schoon, functioneel ingericht, met eigen balkon of terras en schoonmaak is goed. We kregen gedurende de week dat we er waren echter geen schoon beddengoed. Het ontbijt is goed verzorgd en ruim, maar geen buffet. Je krijgt een dienblad vol met lekkere broodjes, jam, yoghurt en fruit. In Alcantarilha zijn maar drie restaurantjes, die via de receptie te reserveren zijn. Bij het Italiaanse restaurant is chagrijnige bediening en eten is niet bijzonder. We hebben wel 2x heerlijk gegeten bij A Cisterna, met leuk echtpaar dat authentiek Portugees kookt. Verwacht echter geen fancy inrichting. Bij de receptie van het hotel werken hele aardige mensen (oa Julie) die goede tips hebben voor uitstapjes in de omgeving, zoals strandjes en boottochten. Houdt er wel rekening mee dat de receptie elke dag om 19:00 sluit! Dus kom je laat aan, dan moet je aparte afspraken maken over inchecken en ophalen sleutel. We komen zeker een keer terug in de Algarve en houden dit hotel dan in gedachten als verblijfplaats.
