The front desk staff were super friendly. There was a problem at check-in. Our Expedia account is in my husband’s name. Even though my name was shown as the room occupant, my driver’s license shows the same address as the Expedia account and I had the credit card on which the reservations, three rooms, were booked, the clerk didn’t want to let me check-in because my husband was not present. And the kicker was that she had no problem checking-in my family members who did not have anything to do with the account other than their names were listed as the room occupants. Additionally, I had to kill a roach that was running across my headband and a silverfish that was in the bathtub.

We booked our stay about a month in advance and selected “Pay at the Property,” which included an additional charge. The day before check-in, I received a notification that my card did not authorize the charge. I immediately emailed the property explaining that we had booked two rooms and would pay upon arrival. I also advised that my mother-in-law would arrive first and pay for her room, while we would arrive later that evening before the check-in closing time. On the day of travel, I received another notification, so I called La Quinta customer service to reconfirm our reservation and payment arrangement. I made every effort to prevent any issues. My mother-in-law arrived without problems. However, when we arrived at approximately 9:30 PM after driving five hours, the receptionist, Elizabeth, informed us that our reservation had been canceled because the card did not go through and the hotel was sold out. I explained that my card is routinely locked for security and reminded her that I had emailed the property and called customer service. Unfortunately, Elizabeth was extremely rude and showed no empathy or concern about my efforts to resolve the issue. We were left without a room on Labor Day weekend late at night. Expedia was also unhelpful; I spoke with three representatives and repeatedly had to explain the situation. Ultimately, we had to find our own room. This was extremely stressful and disappointing. I have never experienced this before.

We had a wonderful stay at La Quinta! The rooms were very clean, and the shower had plenty of hot water. The staff was excellent—friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hot breakfast was delicious with a nice selection. The hotel itself was beautiful and very well maintained. Overall, we were extremely pleased with our stay and would definitely stay here again!

This was the best stay I have encountered in the last several years of traveling! Elizabeth and Timme were very kind, upbeat, and definitely an asset to La Quinta. The room was very clean, and the bed comfy. Breakfast was delicious with numerous choices. The breakfast staff asked if we needed anything, and had smiles to greet the morning. This will be my go to place for future travels!
