"We had two rooms for a two night stay. The air conditioning in one room (46) was excellent, however the air conditioning in the second room (47) was minimal or not functioning. The front desk had a look and unlocked more controls on the thermostat but that didn’t make a difference. No other rooms available. The staff were friendly and tried their best with what they had. Something new to us at breakfast was the basket of eggs. I discovered after the fact that you have to cook them yourself....

"Very clean and mostly friendly staff. However there were a few things that could have been better. First, there were barely any outlets in the room, one in the bathroom and only one in the main room. There were two regular usb's (typeC) so if you had a newer iphone or laptop you could not charge (they are type A) unless you knew and brought usb c adapters. "The location is excellent for exploring the historic area of Avignon. It is also very convenient to the Avignon Center train station. This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this hotel and I would recommend it. The rooms are clean and well maintained and the staff is very welcoming."

"To be fair, this once elegant property is in a great location and the breakfast buffet & morning restaurant staff were excellent. Also, we were there in the middle of a severe heat wave, so staff and systems were strained to the max. Housekeeping staff were VERY NICE, but Front Desk - not so much. "We were NOT happy with the overall experience at the property. The main reason for this is the less than satisfactory state of the bathroom and a few other things. We will NOT be visiting this property again 1.⁠ ⁠The shower curtain was dirty, there was grime and dirt and I guess scum growth at the bottom of the curtains. you should replace the shower curtains as soon as possible 2.⁠ ⁠The detachable shower head was wobbly and the hand-held shower kept dropping as soon as water flowed from it—you...
