But my favorite parts of Sedona are the little known secret places, that you can explore and experience without the crowds. This gem is one of those secret locations. Sedona almost never gets snow, and when it does snow, it rarely sticks. So when a giant snow storm shut down the whole city last winter, we were dying to go out and get some epic snow pictures! Locals refer to this spot as the Birthing Cave. It is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy parts of the city. It is a fairly easy hike to get here, but getting up into the cave is a whole other story! It requires a lot of scrambling, and some serious guts! Central location within walking distance to several restaurants and a lovely hiking trail right behind the hotel that was great for a sunrise walk. The breakfast was very good and a nice way to start the day. The rooms need updating, but are clean and spacious. The balcony in our room was big and allowed for a nice way to relax after a full day of sightseeing. What cannot be beat is the location of this hotel. It is close to everything and walking distance to several restaurants.

Loved how the hotel accommodates for pets AND donates a portion of the pet fee to the humane society. The dog park was clean and the lobby had a water bowl, toys and treats as well
