we stayed here based on the location. it's about a 15 minute walk to pike place market. the rooms have a microwave and mini fridge. which is a nice feature. Also very clean and updated with comfy beds. bathrooms were basic. Wifi is actually free, parking was not. Pool had no deep end. Overall I was quite pleased with it. The rooms were very quiet as we heard nothing from the hallway
My husband and I stayed for two nights. Rooms were very clean. Staff was very professional. Hotel in good location. Parking was safe and secure. The only thing is the noise outside hotel in the morning. Which can't be helped by hotel. I would return and maybe ask too stay on the other side of hotel.
good location very convenient. Nice restaurant on the first floor. Parking is good. The king bed is clean and comfort. Washroom is quite small, so fine value.
Very nice hotel. Excellent staff. Great restaurant. This was our 2nd extended stay. It's across the street from Seattle University. You can walk to iHop for it is 15 feet from the Silver Cloud Hotel.
for the most part the hotel was everything I expected. Other customers I spoke with highly rated and loved the hotel. However I was not pleased with the early morning (4:30 - 7:00 am three fire alarms) the hotel did let us know that they were going to test fire alarms around 10 am. not earlier. When I mentioned this to the staff they did seem to know anything about it and would check into it. I aslo would have liked a continental breakfast included. Over all stay was good
Lovely room in a nice location across from Seattle University. Loads of restaurants, coffee shops right nearby. Within walking distance of downtown, and hotel shuttle save you from the difficult hills. Clean, neat, friendly staff.b parking was $22 + tax per night, which seems like a lot until you see what other parking rates are. Not sure gpthis place would be a fit for younger kids, but for older teens and adults it was great.
The location can't be beat, as I looked for something on first hill near Swedish hospital. I wasn't prepared for how big the room would be, and how fast the room service showed up (20 minutes!) The hot tub was also unexpectadly nice, although the swimming pool was KINDA COLD.
The Silver Cloud Hotel is in a prime location for our visits to Seattle. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable - great bed! The staff was accommodating and friendly.
Close enough to Pike Place and other attractions. Shuttle service was lame. Not convenient at all. Room was comfy and clean. Parking pricey but secure. I would stay here again. Staff wasn't overly helpful with food recommendations.
We have been to Seattle a half dozen times before and stayed at other hotels that have gone way up in price after name changes. The Silver Cloud is in an excellent location for those who want to take in the Capital Hill sights. The "Jimmy's" restaurant was very good, but way overpriced. Staff were very helpful and courteous. We plan to stay here again.
The location at the top of downtown and the trendy edge of Capital Hill made our stay at Sliver Cloud Seattle perfect. It felt like we were staying in a hip neighborhood rather than a corporate downtown. But it was close to everything. We were able to walk to Pike Street Market, to a Mariners game and to a Sounders game too. The immediate neighborhood is full of fun and lively restaurants and bars that were packed every day of the week. Staff was attentive. Room was great and had a view. We will stay here again.
The Silver Cloud provides sufficient service to be considered what my family might call fancy -large rooms, good beds, nice sheets, lots of great towels and Aveda products- but the decor is vanilla, and not French vanilla even, and the ambience is that of a place that is trying too hard and knows it's failing to be worth the price of admission. It would be a delight at 2/3 what I paid to stay there but felt instead like going to the prom with someone dressed for dinner and a movie.
