"This is a lovely hotel. We didn't know what to expect and upon arrival, were delighted by the decor, cleanliness, and the professionalism of the manager who greeted us. Check-in was quick and easy. The room was spacious and comfortable, with all of the basic amenities that we would expect. Breakfast was next level. A full English breakfast, including a full gluten-free and veggie option with doorstop toast. We will definitely return to this hotel in the future, and can't recommend it enough if...

"When I came into the hotel and was given my room key, the first thing I noticed was the smell of dampness in the room. The carpet had burned marks all over it and stains and in places was missing carpet and built bar floor. The wallpaper was torn off the walls. The room was filthy dirty had not been cleaned and full of dust and dirt smoked disgusting so did the toilet and shower. Very nice toiletries provided and excellent tea/coffee/hot chocolate in room facilities with biscuits! I really enjoyed the comfortable residents lounge which was unexpected but a nice place to relax and read a book (motor racing or vehicle enthusiasts will enjoy the book selection).
