"What a deceptively lovely place to stay. The exterior hides the warmth and friendliness inside. Beautifully up to date and simply designed interior. Easy to navigate and super clean. Access to the rooms can be up the fire escape stairs from the rear car park, best for us, or through the bar. And we took advantage of the cutlery and plates offered for our takeaway. Brilliant! The pub has a friendly atmosphere, happy customers and a fab live band played. Do check if there is a live event during...

"Hotel is a great price and is a little tired but comfortable and you have what you need for a stop over. Unfortunately chef took ill so couldn’t eat there but menu looked good. Instead they recommended the Dam Inn which was amazing food!"

"We arrived late evening after a wedding, the night porter was really helpful. I was asked for a further £100 insurance charge, we stayed on the Saturday night and this was not refunded to my account until Wednesday, 4 days later is unacceptable. This should have been refunded as soon as housekeeping had checked the room. There was a deduction of £3.80 with no explanation. We were looking forward to a good night sleep and a nice breakfast.
