Great location
Had a great time in Scarborough, the hotel is in a very central location. The shower had lots of hairs left in it and the water pressure was rubbish, took a while to wash my hair! The sink taps could of done with a scrub. The owner was was nice and welcoming.
Made to feel welcome from the start , lovely lady , room was great size and. Wry comfortable, would definitely go again . Fab value for money x

Great Location but Overpriced
The price was too high for what you get. All of the bed linens and towels were old, discolored, stained, and need to be replaced,
The location is good and convenient and close to railroad station and shopping but room is overpriced and did not include breakfast.
Our room was extremely small and on the 3rd floor, up a very narrow staircase. The beds were comfortable but the furniture was very poor, a very wobbly table acting as a dressing table, a wardrobe with badly fitting doors and a handle coming loose. At £80 per night with no breakfast included, it was a rip off. A most disappointing choice.

Not the best stay
The guest house was unmanned, you rang the bell and a lady came from another house in the square to let you in. We were 2 floors up a narrow stairway. The room was small, only space for a double bed under a window with a chest of drawers on one side. The on-suite was really small, hardly room to turn around. The shower was some kind of zen affair with pebbles in the shower head and it came out in a very fine spray. It took ages to heat up and was only ever warm, never hot. The room was clean but very dated. It was extremely noisy as the window was not double glazed and right behind the headboard. It was not good value as it was £116 for two nights with no breakfast and an extra £5 for parking. The lady who ran the guest house was lovely, very friendly and helpful.
A really good location central to all attractions, sea front etc.
Really friendly and helpful owner to whom nothing was too much trouble, so a great welcome and great service throughout.
We'll certainly have no hesitation in returning!
Seb was so friendly and welcoming she couldn't do enough.

Nice hotel, central location
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and Seb was an amazing hostess. She was very friendly and welcoming right from the start and nothing was too much for her.
The hotel itself is in a perfect location - right opposite the train station and in the centre of Scarborough so if you can avoid driving then don't.
The hotel itself was okay. It wasn't a 5-star grand room that we stayed in but it served its purpose for us. The only bad point I would say is that I was paranoid about getting blood and make-up on the towels as they charged you extra if you stained their towels. Sometimes, accidents happen and I think charging people if blood gets on a towel is a little bit extreme as some people may be prone to nose bleeds etc. and I am quite good at getting make-up of my face but again, sometimes I may miss a little bit but I understand with make-up as some people wear fake tan and that can completely ruin your towels.
Again, that is the ONLY fault I would say about this hotel but it certainly wouldn't stop me staying here again.
Thank you for a lovely and pleasant stay Seb and Fernando, I'm sure we will see you soon.
From start to finish it was amazing. Seb and Fernando are brilliant. Room, en suite and bedding was very very clean. The bed was so comfortable. Vuew was lovely. Breakfast was amazing and you are encouraged to state how many of the breakfast items that would like so you are set up for the day. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location
Great location and given complimentary parking permit for duration of stay. Complimentary breakfast was only continental and told we had to have at 8am. This wasn't convenient so gave it a miss! Plenty of lovely places for all sorts of breakfasts just minutes walk from hotel. Our room was at the top of the hotel. Having lots of luggage all of the stairs were a real pain. Room and ensuite were adequate.
Very nice hotel, the hosts are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Room was clean and nicely decorated and the breakfast was excellent (they even offer a full veggie English). My only complaint would be that the bed was really really soft and left us feeling achey.
We stayed for three nights and were pleased it is situated on the edge of town right opposite the train station.Good breakfast and friendly staff and other holidaymakers made it a really nice weekend.
We stayed five nights at The Admiral Guest House. It is in a great location for exploring Scarborough and the train station is just across the road.
We were impressed by the Admiral's WiFi coverage as we were up on the 3rd floor but we had strong connections on our various devices.
The breakfasts were delicious, especially the vegetarian option with veggie sausage & bacon. Seb, the owner, was attentive to all guests making sure everyone was satisfied by offering extra tea, coffee, toast, orange juice, etc.
Parking around the outside square was limited but the Admiral provides parking permits for each day of your stay which can be used anywhere within the 'zone' which spreads across many nearby streets. We were also offered an additional permit to extend our parking beyond the 10am checkout which was very nice. The beds (Twin room) were very comfortable, clean and with plenty of plump pillows. Didn't notice much noise from outside despite being in a busy central area, unless you count the Seagulls!!
All in all a very comfortable stay and would not hesitate booking here again.
We had a few days in Scarborough but the weather was very cold. As we are Australians we felt that the room was a little cold and the towels were still damp the next day. However, that was our only small problem. The hotel was very nice, the breakfast was excellent and the hotel owner was so friendly and helpful that it added to our holiday. Parking was a bit tight but we were pleased that it was free!
