"Great quality rooms over a really lovely pub - I recently stayed 2 nights at the Sawmill’s as part of a group booking of all 4 rooms as we were attending a local wedding.
Quality of the rooms is fantastic, especially the larger room 1. Great showers, clean nice facilities, fresh & well decorated rooms. Breakfast was also included which was really good food and made the overall cost of stay really reasonable. Would definitely stay again. "

The room was very comfortable with the only downside being the design of the bathroom where when using the toilet your feet are touching the shower tray."
"Barton Instow Guest house is a jewel in the crown. A lovely old converted farmhouse nestled in the Instow countryside but only a short walk to the beautiful beach front. The bed was clean and comfortable, towels dressing gowns and toiletries are also provided. They offer a packed lunch for the next day which is definitely needed for the walk from Hartland way to Bude! "

"I was impressed with the lady who ran the hotel that night. She checked me in, instructed me where to park my car, advised where to get dinner because they didn't provide evening meals, served my drink in the bar, laid my table for my brought in take away dinner and then cleared up and still managed to do some cleaning. She made my evening very easy and pleasant. I couldn't ask for more. "
"This is not only a lovely hotel in a great location. The young team go out of their way in every regard: great, local food in their restaurant, very comfy bed and rooms, and the small things which make a difference: I note for example their sustainability efforts: biscuits and condiments in the room in refillable glasses, same with bathroom stuff (including toilet paper by ‘who gives a crap’), fresh milk in a fridge on the landing - no plastic or waste anywhere. Why can’t all hotels follow? "
