"Free breakfast. 6$/night parking. Exercise room and pool available. Short walk to plaza for shopping and food. Short walk to lake Huron. "

"Friendly staff, easy check-in and rooms were clean. The decor is a bit dated, but the rooms are well kept and comfortable. Great location as well, being close to the Trans-Canada Highway as well as downtown. "

"Stayed for 2 nights. Breakfast was eggs,sausage, DIY waffles, cereal, yogurt, muffins, etc, quality was good not great. The staff was accomodating helping me with parking my car and boat. Room was clean, beds comfortable. TV was old school low res cable. Overall a nice facility and a nice location. I would stay again. Not expensive and completely acceptable. "

"Parking easy especially for pet families. Right outside the room with sliding patio doors you can park your car. Dog does not have to walk through the motel to get to your room. Room was average. What you’d expect. Bring your own pillows. Seriously bad pillows. Comfy bed though. Coffee pretty terrible at breakfast. But the food looked ok. I didn’t eat anything. My partner said it was ok. Ok location. Busy road. Close to stores and restaurants. Don’t go for the sushi across the street....

"This used to be my favorite hotel when I went back to my home town. A year ago I stayed there and it was looking rough. The indoor hot tub was no longer working and the outside hot tub was working but the waterfall and creek that ran beside hot tub is no longer functioning. They have let shrubs and flowers that used to line creek get out of control. It looks horrible. Stayed there again last week and nothing is fixed. It smells musty in hall and room. ...

"Clean room"

"Dirty unclean, no blankets. Unresponsive staff for heating. Luckily I was moving and had a small heater in the car. Busy body staff don't want to get out of the office and his bedroom behind front desk."

"The room could have been cleaner. The room I was originally assigned smelled like cigarette smoke and the window’s don’t open so I was moved to a room in the back area. The bed felt more like a spring mattress, I’m very happy I brought my own pillow or I would not have been able to sleep."

"Our stay at the Trunk Road Motel was excellent. The staff were very friendly when we checked in and gave us complementary water bottles. There were designated parking spaces and the room was clean and comfortable. The room amenities were great, with the TV, fridge, and microwave working. The bathroom was clean and had a fan, window, working shower and sink; our only complaint would be that the bathroom door wouldn’t shut all the way. "The resort is older, there is obvious evidence of efforts to improve the cabins such as new flooring since our last visit. The only part that we were very disappointed in was the hot tub...it had brown foamy stuff floating in it."
