"This is a wonderful, small family owned hotel in the best walkable, quiet and scenic part of Punta del Este. Recognizing that this is an older hotel and may appear a little bit rustic, it is in the best location imaginable. It is a short walk too. The port and the dining options in the neighborhood are spectacular. It is a family run operation with friendly staff. You’ll also love to meet Rosie the poodle who greets everybody when they arrive."

"The people at the front desk were exceptionaly helpful and friendly. In fact we were impressed with all the staff. The amenities like the pool, sauna and jakuzzi were all clean and in very good state. The room and bathroom clean and enough space. Very nice to have a tea kitchen with microwave, kettle and coffee maschine. I had an accident in the fitness room, which was my own fault, but maybe the room is too small for the amount of machines. the breakfast was really really good.. we only had...

"My husband and I wrapped up our vacation in La Barra, and Kala Hotel was absolutely perfect. It was within walking distance to the beach, offering the perfect spot to unwind. The breakfast was delicious, and we were well taken care of by the pool with refreshing wine and snacks. We also took their bikes to ride to José Ignacio, though in the heat, it wasn’t the most comfortable choice. Still, a memorable trip! Highly recommend!"

"Equipe familiar, quartos com armário, bom banho e boa roupa de cama. Hotel bem localizado: em frente à praça de artesanato que fica aberta às 22:00h. Duas quadra do calçadão da praia do Rio da Prata. O corredor tem carpete, o elevador é manual e o café da manhã abre às 8:00h e é bom… o quarto não tem shampoo nem condicionador bem como não tem black-out. "
