"This is a safe, solid, budget friendly hotel in the heart of the Lapa Samba club area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was decent for the price and area and I felt safe overall. The area is in close proximity to the mosaic stairs and on Sunday there’s an amazing open air market that takes place close by. "The condition of the room was fine, and the staff was super nice. The service itself wasn't so good. I requested several times for someone to come help me with the safe inside the room, and no one came up to help me even though they said they would. I also reported the phone inside the room didn't work on the first night, and they also didn't fix it. The rooms don't have an iron to iron your clothes, you have to do this on a separate floor they have. Sometimes they would last a couple of days...

"I never checked in, room wasn’t available and because it was a “on going booking” it didn’t let me cancel it and the hotel couldn’t cancel it neither. I lost my money and got scammed. "

"The hotel room was great. The reception staff was also very helpful & shockingly, she spoke perfect English. The rest of the country either refuses to speak English or cant. Whilst the hotel service was great, the neighbourhood is extremely sketchy. I didnt feel safe and would not venture out alone in broad daylight beyond the front porch of the hotel. The only reason to book this hotel is its close proximity to the Sambadrome. "
